  Re: Linetype 5 Help?

Not having actually created any parts, I can't guarantee that the information below is correct. However, my understanding of linetype 5 is that you will normally use adjacent points in your overall curved shape for the two extra points. This is easy (...)   need Help finding a co-ordinate

Does anyone have a program or an algorithm that does the following: Given four points in three dimension space (four corners of a quad,) and an (X,Y) co-ordinate on the quad, calculate the Z co-ordinate so the fifth point is on the quad. In other (...) (24 years ago, 11-Sep-00, to lugnet.cad)

  Relative Distance sensor

Techno-stuff is pleased to announce availability of the new Infra-Red Relative Distance indicator. This is similar to an IRPD, except it returns eight different values, depending on the distance. Maximum range is about two feet. It measures the (...) (24 years ago, 29-Sep-00, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Painting Lego (Was: More Dragons)

(...) etc. (...) I agree! I think the next level of creation IS customization. An earlier comment about waiting for Lego to come out with stuff? Some things will never come.   Re: Where is the 2x1 plate?

(...) For most parts. In slopes, the dimension across the primary slope face is listed first. So regular 45-degree slope-bricks will always be described as 2xN. Less regular 45-degree slope-bricks have a different leading number, because of multiple (...) (24 years ago, 4-Oct-00, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

Re: Handling "Kid play areas" on layouts

(...) A "K-8" is a standard size storage box for LEGO. It's about 30"x18"x16". I have one at home, I'll get an exact measurement and post it sometime. JohnG, GMLTC (24 years ago, 17-Oct-00, to lugnet.trains.org, lugnet.org.ca.nalug)

Re: Giant space ship links site idea

  Timing of RCX statements

I was trying to simulate a serial link by using an output of the RCX. I didn't work and when I analyzed the timing, I found out that the RCX's execution of statements is far too slow for the protocol I wanted to simulate. So I made some measurements (...)   Re: The Datalog

Sorry, Dean - now I got your point. There is indeed no way to read the contents of the datalog. What about storing the data (e.g. for path information, maps, etc.) into an ARRAY instead of the datalog? With RIS2.0 and the latest NQC version you have (...)
