| | Re: Now Chris & Larry are away, let's plan! : )
|
| Larry & All, (...) I know length wise it was too long, but i figured you could just cut off the stripes. I had the 3x16 size mad eof bricks at work, and overlayed them on the top to make sure it fit. I am at a loss because I know I checked it (...) (23 years ago, 16-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.us.michlug)

| | Technic's Dead (was: I need Technic)
|
| Guys, I hate to break it to you, but Technic as a theme is dead and it didnt just die all of a sudden due to Lego's 2002 vertical marketing scheme but has been on a downhill slide for several years. Alot of the discussion about his topic confuses (...) (22 years ago, 3-Aug-02, to lugnet.technic) !!

| (...) TJ: I suspect that Brad Justus/Lego defines Technic differently than you or I do. I think that my definition is clear. It comes from playing/collecting/ building with these sets and elements for about 15 years. Lego defines the Theme as Star (...) (22 years ago, 3-Aug-02, to lugnet.technic)

| | Re: web page update with GATS stuff
|
| (...) Spiffatronic! Very nice work, Amy. (...) That also seems like a great idea. How wide a net? For example GATS itself has a website, but it's arguably a bit wider afield of a link than Jason's factory is. (linking to GATS seems about the right (...) |
| Amy & All, (...) I am thinking of switching to a firm down in Indy, he hosts a few things, like Brickbay now and the like, it is 10.00 a month for everything (up to 25 MG) which is a lot better than Geocities. Scott S. (23 years ago, 1-Aug-01, to lugnet.org.us.michlug)

| | Question, volunteering for something
|
| Is "curator" a delegatable or sharable role? I'd volunteer for lugnet.trains and lugnet.trains.org if I knew that I could get someone backing me up if I ran out of time... I am willing to take on lugnet.org.us.michlug if Amy doesn't want it. That (...) (23 years ago, 24-Jul-01, to lugnet.admin.curators)

| | Re: Confusion - who's coming?
|
| (...) I agree with Amy. Note that what I was proposing was more of a historical display of sets as they were produced by LEGO (including their boxes in cases where we had them) than a diorama. But I can go the Diorama route too. Before we start (...) (23 years ago, 3-Aug-01, to lugnet.org.us.michlug)

| People who might attend the confusion thing: Tony Chris Amy Scott Rick Jason +1? Trevor????? Lester? Larry? New members are welcome also. O.K. It looks like we all can share a room. | Actually to come to think of it, a u shaped layout would be better. Im going to guess the room will probably be 30x30. Just a guess, Amy if you know for sure then let us know. If we did a u shape and sat behind the layout it might be more (...) (23 years ago, 30-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.us.michlug)
