| (URL) little later than usual, but here we are again. This issue has had to wait for our annual event to finish, images of which you will find inside, but be assured that it has not affected the work we have put into HBM 015. In this issue you will (...) (13 years ago, 17-Dec-12, to lugnet.announce) !

 | | Re: Message boards on LEGO.com?
| (...) Well, the issue is that providing the URL (linked or not) opens a potential door to inappropriate content. As Steve put in an earlier post, the goal is to have a Message Board that anyone feels safe participating in, or sending their kids to (...) (23 years ago, 15-Nov-02, to lugnet.lego.direct)

| (...) You are right, your post was edited to exclude the URL. I am still working out what the external URL policy is, and will add it to the ToS and post here as soon as it is resolved. As far as the editing, what do you all think? Would you prefer (...) (23 years ago, 14-Nov-02, to lugnet.lego.direct)

 | | The oldest known LEGO bricks set of 1949??
| I had always been looking for the very first 1949 LEGO sets with plastic bricks, but the closest I ever got to was circa 1950... a year after the 1949 introduction of the LEGO brick (known as Automatic Binding Bricks until 1953). My German collector (...) (13 years ago, 26-Dec-12, to lugnet.general)

 | | Re: The LEGO Company and the North American AFOL
| I'd like to add a couple thoughts that occurred to me which make me somewhat unsure where I fall on the spectrum of thought here, though I think I hie closer to where David is. Firstly, as an AFOL who has never lived anywhere near a convention, it's (...) (13 years ago, 6-Dec-12, to lugnet.general)

| (...) That is quite possible I think. There was a pre-promotional image of an EXO-Force model with a prominent "XFORSKN" sticker on its groin (my copy is lost unfortunately) and, more recently Star Wars had (URL) this great promotion> on a mock up.
