  Memory erased

Hi, Is it normal that any time I start IC, and the HB sinchronize with it, all the programs in the memory are erased, and there is only the ones the IC download at that moment (the ones in lib_hb.lis) ? If not, what can be the problem? If I use the (...) (24 years ago, 9-Jul-00, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Re: Memory peripheral device

Great ! I thought no one could have done or imagined something like. The problem, I belive, is that no massive memory storage device (massive: about 1Mb or 2, or 512 KB ...) has an input that can be interfaced with the handyboard or with another (...)   Memory Usage

Well, I've gone and run out of memory with my RCX. It manifested itself in a task that refused to run, presumably because the OS couldn't allocate enough memory for its stack. Took a while to track down and was annoying, but it was my own fault for (...) (24 years ago, 14-Oct-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

RE: How much memory finally? ADDENDUM

(...) There is no user memory from 0x4000 to 0x8000 - It's all ROM space but it might not be used. I look at things in terms of replacement firmware, and the RCX is very flexible in this regard. The RAM for replacement firmware starts at 0x8000. (...) (25 years ago, 10-Feb-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

  Re: memory for LGEO

(...) My computer has Win98se, 64Mb memory and I never encountered problems with LGEO parts. Probably 32Mb is sufficient for models below 1000 parts. I estimate one could render all official lego models using only 32Mb. Damien (23 years ago, 28-Mar-02, to lugnet.cad.ray)

Hi Mark, (...) That's a yes. Apart from a minor issue with the memory map, you should have about 32k - ~5k kernel - ~1k ROM data available eventually. (...) (26 years ago, 9-Feb-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Non-volatile memory storage?

Anybody know a way to store code in the non-volatile memory of the handy-board? If the board is not battery backed by the 12V pack I lose all memory in RAM. Thanks guys. P.S. I am also looking for a timing routine, a way to have a program run for a (...) (25 years ago, 1-Apr-00, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  memory for LGEO

What is the minimum memory a computer needs to render a POV-file with LGEO-parts? 128Mb? 256? more? I know it depends on the size of the file, but is there a sort of guide for it? I need to know for the REND101 manual. Jeroen (23 years ago, 28-Mar-02, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  Re: How much memory finally?

Here's the latest update. Hope we will get a clear picture of this #@$@ memory after all. The point is that the RCX processor can address 64k of memory, so let's divide this range into 4 equal area of 16k. (note:16k or 16384, in hex is 0x4000). (...)
