  8858 Rebel Wrecker... How many parts?
 
I always see the 8858 referred to as having 398 parts. My US box says 510 (from memory). Can anyone confirm the parts count on the box front? I will have to dig my box out....... Thanks:^{) Eric (25 years ago, 8-Jan-00, to lugnet.technic)

Hi all. This is just a quick moral question. I noticed that the RCX ROM has a copy memory routine (0x042a). I've modified my memcpy.s to use this: _memcpy: push r0 mov.w r1,r0 add.w r2,r1 pop r2 jmp @ mem_copy .end And added mem_copy=0x042a to (...) (25 years ago, 8-Apr-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

I'm only aware of red, yellow, and white. From memory and the set database at lugnet/inv, the large sliding doors came in the following: red: 2 in 740 Building Set (also includes red/yellow train doors and yellow train windows!) 2 in 5077 Parts Pack (...) Michael, I believe the reason that NT is faster in big machines is that it can address large amounts of memory more quickly. When I was discussing NT with a Photoshop expert, he said that for 128MB+ machines, it is much faster in NT, as Win9x can (...) (24 years ago, 17-Jul-00, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.dev)

Did you care to declare your global variable as volatile? this (normaly) prevent the compiler to optimize memory access and force it to read the actual value of the variable each time it need it ( instead of localy storing it in a register wich will (...) Rmoving every chips except 62256 RAM and 74HC132, and try it again if it works. Besides the memory chip (62256), please also check the 74HC373 (under-neath the 62256 RAM).
