Re: 12 Tooth bevel gear case

(...) The (URL) 10178 Motorized Walking AT-AT> set uses them to drive the legs because a lot of torque is needed to move all that weight -- you can hear the motor straining with every step. (16 years ago, 15-Oct-08, to lugnet.technic, FTX)

I see that Philo has already modeled the new Power Functions parts, including the linear actuator. That's a pretty fast turnaround. :) (16 years ago, 2-Oct-08, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Re: Press release for LEGO Collectors Guide

(...) I picked up my book from the post office today. I was surprised to see it includes keychains, polybag sets, and service packs -- no pictures of the service packs, though. I don't recall if your CD had that info (my copy is at home so I can't (...) (16 years ago, 28-Aug-08, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: AW: Assembly line feeding system

(...) Thank Rafe Donahue, actually. I learned about it from a math/statistics-based presentation about GBC modules he gave at BrickWorld 2007. If he didn't discover the technique himself, he at least documented it. :) I haven't seen a lot of modules (...) (16 years ago, 8-Jul-08, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: AW: Assembly line feeding system

GBC module creators tend to independently reinvent the same hopper solutions used in factories. Some of them shake, many of them have an agitator spinning inside it to loosen the pieces, but the simplest just use gravity and a change of direction. (...)   Re: Press release for LEGO Collectors Guide

(...) The special edition costs €39,90. Add the €25,00 for shipping to the United States and you get €64.90, which at today's exchange rate is about $102.29. That seems crazy, but this is a reference book with 800+ pages and 8000 color photographs (...) (16 years ago, 28-Jun-08, to lugnet.general, FTX)

I missed your presentation this weekend, but it sounded interesting. A friend of mine who lives in Chicago came to BrickWorld that day and we went to lunch, which was when you had your sessions. I too have wondered how LEGO made its instructions in (...) (16 years ago, 24-Jun-08, to lugnet.cad)

How do -you- clean your LEGO parts?

I don't think LUGNET has had any discussions about this in quite some time. How do -you- clean your LEGO parts? I'm interested in learning people's techniques, particularly ones that clean a lot of parts at once with little effort. LEGO that's been (...)
