Re: Kiddicraft by Hilary Page 1947

Yes, as we can see Kiddicraft was the pre-cursor to the Lego brick. Back in 1949-50 they had only 5 colors of Lego bricks, red, white, yellow, light green, and what can best be described as "peacock blue". By 1950 TLG was releasing to their Danish (...)   No Announcements from the Brickfest 2006 Folks....

My worst fears have come true..... all the folks attending the 2006 Brickfest have had to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement by TLG..... ;-) Why else has no one posted on Brickfest announcements?? Gary Istok (18 years ago, 28-Aug-06, to lugnet.general)

  Re: MOC: Frauenkirche Dresden

Holger, Kurz gesagt, Ausgezeichnet!! Dresden's Frauenkirche (also its' Cathedral), was Germany's largest (as-built) Lutheran Cathedral. The original's photos give little clue to the massive scale of the building. It's like stepping inside an 18 (...) (18 years ago, 15-Sep-06, to lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.build.schleim, FTX)

Re: Lincoln Logs with Ldraw : )

Very interesting.... Italy's Luca Giannitti and I were just talking via EMAIL about a Minitalia Lego part produced from 1971-72 in certain Italian Minitalia Lego sets. It too was a green roof, but it was made of a single hinged piece of cardboard, (...) (18 years ago, 20-Sep-06, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Photos from the event where three tons of lego brikcs where dumped in Oslo

Those models really are great! Do you know why they are so nice? Because these people (amateurs) only had 1 color and a few brick sizes to work with.... They didn't have 3,000 different elements in 34 colors to handicap their creativity! :-) Gary (...) (18 years ago, 24-Sep-06, to lugnet.events, lugnet.build)

Re: S@H on line pick a brick

I wonder how many kids are going to make the mistake of mixing "earth blue" with "bright blue". My heart skipped a beat momentarily with the "2x2 outside corner" bricks, only to be let down... they're DARK BLUE. It's not as though TLG has an entire (...)
