(...) Very well stated Jim!! Today we mainly know that KKK is the principal owner of Lego. But his older sister Gunhild also owns a big chunk of Lego, as Jim has aready stated. Unfortunately since you left, there has been a Diaspora of Lego groups leaving Lugnet.... the classic space (...) (18 years ago, 7-Jul-06, to lugnet.people, FTX)

From the very first basic sets of 1949, until 1965.... all Lego Basic Sets were nicely housed in flat boxes with all the elements displayed in checkerboard and zig-zag patterns. (...) Frank, I noticed the same thing in regards to the yellowing of blue bricks in a long ago sealed late 1960's set. For me it was blue sloped bricks.   Why do European Lego Catalogs/Set Instructions have punched holes?
 
I noticed this a long time ago, but for some reason a lot of European catalogs and set instructions in the 1970's (and later?).... seem to have holes punched at the top corner. Why is that? This is not found in USA/Canada Lego catalogs and (...) (18 years ago, 3-Aug-06, to lugnet.general)

My whole take on this is that it is NOT Lego driven, but developer driven. If it goes thru, then the taxpayers of Kansas will be paying for this. But if it fails in the end, it could affect the reputation of Lego... the product. I am leary about (...)
