Re: Corner slopes, rarity thereof (was Re: WTB/WTT: Blue 3x3 corner low-slopes ...)

(...) Hey James, These low sloped corners (red, blue, white, black and maybe gray) would make a great item to order from LEGO Direct! After all these pieces are in current production. Gary Istok (25 years ago, 12-Apr-00, to lugnet.general)

  Re: WTB/WTT: Blue 3x3 corner low-slopes from 3053 Emperor's Stronghold

(...) Ah yes, the low sloped corner bricks, highly desireable in any color, rare in black, scarce in red and blue, and very very rare in yellow. Only came in one set in yellow that I am aware of. That would be the 7740 Intercity Train (1980's), (...) (25 years ago, 10-Apr-00, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

(...) Russell, I don't want to jinx your request. But these pieces are "rather" difficult to find. I bet Larry P. would like to chime in here right now! Good Luck in your search, Gary Istok (25 years ago, 13-Apr-00, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade, lugnet.trains)

  Re: WTB/WTT: Blue 3x3 corner low-slopes from 3053 Emperor's Stronghold

(...) Thanks Steve. Now we know they exist in white. And 9748 costs...... $100 (ouch). Looks like the white 3x3 corners will be very much like the yellow 3x3 corners (from the 7740 Intercity Train) ... namely that they can only be found in very (...) (...) Thanks Maggie and Rob. I took a 2nd look at the picture of a 9748 and sure enough you're right. It is a regular sloped corner. Dang it, funny how sometimes you see what you want to see. So now we're back to red, black, blue and yellow. Gary (...) (25 years ago, 12-Apr-00, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Some window questions

Let me know the results, I would try it but I don't have any loose glass pieces. Is it possible to remove the glass from classic 1x4x2 windows without damaging the piece? Thanks, Chris Hill <<<< I have about 20 of those roof support hinge pieces (in (...) (25 years ago, 4-Aug-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: Bulk Ordering - Secrets Revealed.

Gary, You know, I was discussing this with my roommates and I said, I bet Gary Istok and maybe Larry P. would order about 50,000 of the 2x2 white cylinder pieces. Looks like I wasn't too far off. (...) (25 years ago, 9-Aug-99, to lugnet.general)

(...) Now, now. I've been wronge before (once). :-) Actually sometimes the eyes see what the brain wants them to see. And I really wanted to see low sloped corners in white. I really, really did...... But darn it, that was not to be. So now they (...) (25 years ago, 13-Apr-00, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Arjan, Don't be upset or anything, I have been collecting sets since I was 4, everyone has different money conditions, situations, and the like. I really have never had a Dark Age, like most AFOL'S have. I am strange as it is, so it fits me. :) I (...) (25 years ago, 6-Aug-99, to lugnet.general)

(...) And lest we forget, the 1x1 round bricks, and the 2x2 quarter circle (macaroni) bricks. These have been part of the regular LEGO brick inventory since the 1950's. Gary Istok (25 years ago, 19-Apr-00, to lugnet.lego.direct)

  Re: the latest news

Hi Brad, and thanks. I do have one serious question for you about Bulk Sales. Have the classic LEGO window/door molds (known as #214 1-10 in the old 50's and 60's catalogs) been destroyed? Or are they still available for use? I know that #214/6 (2x2 (...) (25 years ago, 18-Apr-00, to lugnet.lego.direct) !

Re: looking for large spoked wheels

(...) Chris, The large red (and white) 1970's spoked wheels are highly prized. If no one is willing to give them up, you may have to check EBAY (look under "LEGO WHEELS"). I just checked EBAY, but couldn't find any at the moment. By the way, the (...) (25 years ago, 19-Apr-00, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)
