  Re: Catalog nostalgia

Where are we going with this... Does this herald the advent of the one-piece Lego model? Just think of the latest BURP and imagine it with many (printed) colours... then some stickers and moulded-in features - you could even provide moulded-in (...) (25 years ago, 16-Jan-00, to lugnet.general)

(...) lawsuit. (...) That (...) it (...) which (...) at (...) Only 150 degrees? That shouldn't be a serious burn -- anyone who frequents coffee shops (as I do) knows that the "normal" temperature for a latte is 160 degrees. I myself order them at (...)   Re: Newsgroups for LUGs?

(...) And one that I (really!) would not like to see implemented, for two reasons. 1. automatic crossposting is, in general, a bad idea, as has been discussed here at length before. Too easy to get unintended results, too hard to maintain the (...) (25 years ago, 16-Jan-00, to lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.org, lugnet.org.us)

  Re: Newsgroups for LUGs?

(...) One problem that I see with that is then people on those loc-groups who don't want to see org-info get it anyway, and threads are spread over multiple groups messily. I think the newsgroups for LUGs idea is cool though :) Richard (25 years ago, 16-Jan-00, to lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.org, lugnet.org.us)

Re: Any suggestions on a homepage?

(...) Well, I use Frontpage 2000 and I love it. But, I would like to point out that knowing at least some of that "HTML rubbish" can help you out a great deal. Like when you need to copy the HTML FP or any other editor/program creates for you to (...) (25 years ago, 16-Jan-00, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.general)

  Re: Catalog nostalgia

You collect Lego catalogues and fliers and stuff? Is there anything you're looking for? As a kid, I never threw any of it away so I still have stuff going back to '83 or so. -- Paul Davidson Frank Buiting <frank.buiting@infopulse.nl> wrote in (...) (25 years ago, 16-Jan-00, to lugnet.general)

  Meltdown.

This afternoon my wife was feeling a little cold. We have a little woodburning stove that does'nt get much use except as a landing platform for Lego models. She came into the shed to get some wood, lit the fire and latter told me there had been a (...) (25 years ago, 16-Jan-00, to lugnet.loc.uk)

  Re: Useless parts?

Ooh, thinking of The Hobbit just gave me an even better idea. Have a mountain (or hill, depending on how many BURPs you can scrounge up) with a cave in it as a dragon's lair. Then your dragon, who undoubtedly hoards treasures as all good dragons do, (...) (25 years ago, 16-Jan-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Has anyone used the Naboo soldier torsoes with castle lego?

(...) i love this 'fig! it's one of the best in a while, in that it introduces old elements in new colors (the cap and hands in brown), has a classic smiley (yes!) and can be used in town, castle, pirate and space themes! in castle, as is, he could (...)   My robot exploded

The other day I was carrying a nearly-complete robot from one room to another when I accidentally dropped it - on a tile floor. The thing exploded into hundreds of perfectly undamaged individual pieces, which went every way possible. It even made a (...) (25 years ago, 16-Jan-00, to lugnet.robotics)
