I have been trying to find reference and/or scans of instructions for one of the old "large vehicles" from the early 70's. Upon checking out Huw's great pages, I noticed the 372 Tow Truck. Some of my earliest Lego memories are of building this (or (...) (27 years ago, 30-Oct-98, to lugnet.general)

Can anyone give a review of the Train Cargo Crane 4552 available only from S@H? I'm not a train type, but I'm looking for a good crane. It looks like the crane could be mounted on truck type wheels (or other vehicles) and the other pieces look good (...) (27 years ago, 30-Oct-98, to lugnet.reviews)

Very, very nice debut. Very well thought out and designed, and excellent models, with a wry sense of humor. :-) Can't wait to see more. Ed commented on the resolution. I don't mind it too much - it's not hard to switch down to 640 x 480. You asked (...) (27 years ago, 30-Oct-98, to lugnet.build, lugnet.publish)

I just finished adding the motor output circuit to my HB. I have built and tested the interface board. I connected the interface board to the HB to download the test code to test the HB and I keep getting the "wrong port or board mode" error. Not (...) First you need the source code for IC, the compiler, and apparently Unix since the source code requires some pre-processing and the script to do that works under Unix (which I don't have). An alternative method requires the (...) (27 years ago, 30-Oct-98, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

Transmission and reception of IR data is quite different from using IR just to bounce it off obstacles to detect their presence. To exchange data with IR you will almost certainly have to use interrupt driven assembler code which can be very (...) (27 years ago, 30-Oct-98, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)
