  Re: Interesting Castle on Ebay

(...) Well, most of those similarities aren't just to BFF, but to all (large) Legoland Castle sets, so it may be a style knock-off rather than 1 specific set. I'm also curious as to how old this is - it may be just my read, but the auction listing (...) (25 years ago, 31-Dec-99, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: B-Wing question

(...) All of the Rebellion's fighter's are hyperdrive-capable. Neither the A-Wing or B-Wing require an astromech, as they as newer and have on-board nav computers. The B-Wing does come with an astromech for some reason. I would have rather seen (...) (25 years ago, 31-Dec-99, to lugnet.starwars)

  Pirate's Lost Island

I just took some pictures of a MOC I've been working on called Pirate's Lost Island. It's my attempt to make a set similar in design and function to the sets Lego used to make in the Pirate's theme. Take a look at the following URL: (URL) features I (...) (25 years ago, 31-Dec-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.pirates)

RE: USB->Serial converters and IR Tower

Instead of blowing money on that if you already have the hub is GET THE NEW drivers. It is amazing how that helps fix problems like that. Personally, I'm going to have the same problem in a bit when I start to program my new Robot, Twitch, and like (...) (25 years ago, 31-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  B-Wing question

I've yet to see a B-Wing on the shelves of my local stores, and I can't remember them clearly enough from the films, so I'll ask. Do B-Wings require Astromechs for operation? Are they Hyperdrive-capable? What about A-Wings, while I'm at it? Thanks (...) (25 years ago, 31-Dec-99, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Interesting Castle on Ebay

(...) Yes there are quite a lot of differences, but I've never seen, or even heard of, anyone trying to rip off LEGO. It is hard to imagine LEGO making a similar but different version of the set, but it is also hard to imagine someone trying to rip (...) (25 years ago, 31-Dec-99, to lugnet.castle)

Re: USB->Serial converters and IR Tower

Hi. The new Pitsco Catalogue has an ENTEGRA USB Adapter. Apparently you also need a special driver as it comes bundled with software. The cost is $59.00 which is relatively cheap as this sort of thing goes. Pitsco Part # D9902431 Barbara Nostrand (...) (25 years ago, 31-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Building a Mini-fig Army, how much to pay

(...) 125 (...) <snipped impressive list> (...) Not shamed by me, at least. I think I've got around the same number you do, but a large number of mine never see "service" since they've been canabalized to make my matching guys. James (URL) (25 years ago, 31-Dec-99, to lugnet.castle)

(...) Now I'm starting to get curious... how many castle 'figs does everyone else have? I've got: Classic (Yellow castle) - 0 Crusaders - 86 Black Falcons - 51 Forestmen - 6 Black Knights - 34 Wolfpack - 11 Dragon Masters - 18 + 7 Majisto's Royal (...) (25 years ago, 31-Dec-99, to lugnet.castle)

(...) And is it just me, or do those minifigs not have faces? It's hard to tell, because the scan isn't a great resolution, but it looks like the heads are unprinted.   Re: Toys R Us Experience

(...) Ah, ok. I must not have had enough coffee yet today - I missed that angle. But any national sale which isn't in a flyer a week ahead of time is a poorly marketed national sale. ;) James (URL) (25 years ago, 31-Dec-99, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.market.theory)

Re: Proud New RIS owner... tires wanted

Those tall motorcycle-type tires/wheels are 81.6X15's. Dave is looking for the large wide tire/wheel combos, smaller than the MC types.   Re: Building a Mini-fig Army, how much to pay

(...) I'm fond of 5x5 formations. 25 figs, all matching look very good in a 5x5, and fit nicely onto a small-ish baseplate. (I think I'm at ~100, or maybe 125 done this way - I haven't checked to see if I can make the extra formations yet. 75 for (...) (25 years ago, 31-Dec-99, to lugnet.castle)
