Design wanted: Touch sensor for passing trains

I'm using Mindstorms to control Lego trains. Does anyone have a design for using a touch sensor to detect a train passing?   Re: Transmission made from standard Technic parts

I just got my new Digital Camera (Kodak DC240). I will try to build the transmission with the pneumatics. Hi. One thing that you can consider is buying the Robolab Upgrade package from Pitsco-Dacta.   Re: New sensors from Pitsco-Dacta

Wow! You're not kidding. I thought my $40 designs were a bit over the top (1/3 cost of basic RCX) but $128 is crazy. If people really are going to pay these prices, then maybe we should make lego specific devices more accessible. How much interest (...) (25 years ago, 28-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics)
