  Re: 2000 LEGO

It seems like a lot of people have been finding them in Target stores, especially farther east. I did also see a report of someone finding some of the new Castle sets in a Target in southern California, so I have been hoping they will show up in (...)   Re: e-Commerce, Entertainer, Exchange rate

(...) It seems to me they should eat it. In all probability, they paid nothing since they presumably don't exchange money on a daily basis. From what I know about credit card companies (from my mother working the phones for a credit card company), I (...) (25 years ago, 17-Dec-99, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: good steam engine

Also try looking at the alternate model on the 4565 (Matt Bates has instructions up on his site). It doesn't use that many rare parts, I believe. Since they seem to be on sale at Zany Brainy this week, you may be able to pick up the 4565 cheap if (...) (25 years ago, 17-Dec-99, to lugnet.trains)

Pics taken with... [was Re: Advent Calendar Fun!]

  Re: Acronym definition?

(...) This kinda thing doesn't really work so well, since there are incredible local variations. Not local as in geographical, but local to certain communities. For example, there's a whole lot of Lego jargon that doesn't apply most other places. (...) (25 years ago, 17-Dec-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.off-topic.fun)

  RE: laser Safety and cats

Here is a link for "Sam's Laser FAQ" which might be of use to anyone who is using a laser pointer in their projects. (URL) particular be sure to check out this section which covers laser safety (URL) if you really just want to read the bare minimum, (...) (25 years ago, 17-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: TRU.com slow response

(...) Lucky you. I made an order almost 3 weeks ago. After it had been a week and I hadn't heard anything, I tried calling the TRU.com toll free number. Every time I called the number it kept disconnecting me. Once I got sick of that I emailed (...) (25 years ago, 17-Dec-99, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: sensors (was: Re: New newsgroup lugnet.loc.eu)

(...) Well, that depends on your newsreader, actually. Rob is indeed correct about what he thought he saw. :) Most newsreaders don't have a feature to coalesce groups in a hierarchy into a single virtual group, but the LUGNET web interface is magic (...)
