This is what went wrong at www.thetoyshop.com

1. What went wrong? Non-Technical explanation: We messed up. UNIX systems (our stock control) use 1 decimal place, the rest of the known world use two! This problem was originally dealt with when the site was designed, but somebody forgot to tell (...) (25 years ago, 3-Dec-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: TRU stuff shipped yet? Any problems?

(...) Yeah, I wished I could see the amount charged to my card on the invoice. I would think it to be in TRU's best interest to do this. As it is, I can walk into my local TRU, sets and slips in hand, and return the sets. Because there is no prices (...) (25 years ago, 3-Dec-99, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: LEGOZ 2000

(...) I don't live in Australia, so my opinion obviously doesn't count, but one I might suggest thinking about is how "LegOz" would be pronounced. If it comes out sounding like "legos," then it's being (IMHO) disrespectful to LEGO, since they (...) (25 years ago, 3-Dec-99, to lugnet.loc.au.nsw.syd)

  Re: New Castle? Huzzah!

(...) transparent. (...) Yes, I thought I could see throught the "cracks" between the "bricks" in the "arch" that was printed above the window. Wow! I certainly hope this is true. It's almost too much to hope for. (...) No. Where is it? Is it (...) (25 years ago, 3-Dec-99, to lugnet.castle)

Our local (small) CT didn't have them but they checked other stores for me and even the one which had most to start wih (93) had sold out. The most irritating thing (...)   Re: Where is dl for unix?

(...) Another note regarding this: The dl that I'm using is an a.out version rather than an elf executable, and I quite often need to use it on a Red Hat 6.x version of Linux. Red Hat 6.0 and later doesn't have a.out support running automatically, (...) (25 years ago, 3-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

Re: TRU stuff shipped yet? Anyproblems?

(...) I placed 5 orders and have received them all. The web page states 4 orders are "Completed" and one is "Recalculated" - the order with the McD's $9 coupon, but nothing is different about the recalculated order, I got the sets for the price I (...)
