Re: When is "Not an Auction" really an auction?

(...) Potentially more annoying are sales that when you enquire about the item you get the reply, "You were the first to ask about this item so it should be yours, but someone else asked about it too so I'm going to auction it off instead."   RE: External Power Port Problem..?

To be safe, you could use a small 1A fuse. You can buy in-line fuse holders in electronics parts stores. It's a little black tube with a screw on cap, and wires or solder tabs on both ends. Just tape it to your battery pack. Another possibility is (...) (25 years ago, 2-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Canadian Tire

Just a FYI in case someone from the US is thinking of striking it rich buying these sets and reselling them for $1.50US. The $1.49 + tax (in BC) is $1.70Cdn. $1.50US = $2.25Cdn Profit = 0.55 Cdn The four Canadian Tires I visited, only one had them (...)   Re: IR tower question

Thanks a lot, Reimer, for answering the Ir question. This gives a starting point for more playing around with the Ir. If only my palm had IR--maybe for Xmas.   Re: UKLUG Prototype online

Looks very good. A couple of suggestions though. Firstly, I'd echo Larry's point about frames - but more than that, I can't see any reason why this page should use frames at all. Doesn't look like any of the frames will need separate scrollbars. (...) (25 years ago, 2-Dec-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)
