  Rare Classic LEGO Window variations

I just got an very old LEGO set in the mail from Germany last weekend. It was the old 1950's version of the Town Plan. It is set "#700 mit Inhalt" (with contents), and is in a large wooden box with a 2 piece sliding lid that has the 1950's Town Plan (...) (25 years ago, 1-Dec-99, to lugnet.general)

(...) And I vote that the new green (from the 2000 Roboriders) be called "Puke Green". :) Anyone agree? :) (...) Trans-Antifreeze or Trans-Fluoro Green are the best terms, I think. Jeff (25 years ago, 1-Dec-99, to lugnet.general)

(...) It's the currency symbol used for the Great Britain Pound. I'm not 100% sure but I think the Irish Punt uses the same symbol. It is exactly analogous to $ being the currency symbol for US and Canadian and a bunch of other dollars. (...) The (...) (25 years ago, 1-Dec-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

  RE: Tilt

The rotation sensor does seem like a very good way to go. The only real problem is you can only detect tilt on one plane (front to back, or side to side, not both) Unless, of course, you have two rotation sensors. (I didn't even bother ordering just (...)   Re: Tilt

You could always program the bot to only respond to a sustained contact. What kind of bot will it be used in, some kind of car that will stop if it tries to climb a hill, or maybe a crane that stops when reaching a particular angle? James ----- (...) (25 years ago, 1-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics)

converting Mac to PC and the Lego remote

Are there any reference pages that show how to convert nqc from a Mac to a PC version, vice versa? Or perhaps a program that will do it? I am also having some trouble with the Lego remote.   RE: Tilt

The halobot I built uses a pure lego mechanism that does a similar trick with a rotation sensor ((URL) I use it for bump detection, but it would be serviceable as a tilt sensor. It takes a pretty good "tilt" to register the rotation sensor in a (...) (25 years ago, 1-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Educate me!

I've just heard the McD sets are available in the UK. 4 Qs 1. How many will there be? 2. How often will the shop change the set available? 3. Will the same set be available in each shop at the same time? 4. What is the healthiest meal I can eat in (...) (25 years ago, 1-Dec-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Re: Any ideas on how to do this with Technic?

(...) That strange, thick, white gear in the RIS slips with drag that appears proportional to the rotation rate, so it's a dampener, which is what you want. Dave Paule (25 years ago, 1-Dec-99, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.adventurers)
