Guarded Inn- White or Yellow cup?

Ok, my roomate got the Guarded Inn a long time ago... and to humor me, brought it to our apartment to show me what the actual set REALLY looked like. So last night I FINALLY got to build the Guarded Inn (6067), even though it's not mine :( BUT-- she (...) (25 years ago, 1-Dec-99, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Canadian Tire

Does CT have a lot of these?? I'd pay 1.50 US each for: - as many copies of 2885 as I can get (up to 30) (love those drawers) - and up to 5 copies of 2872. (for the kitties, mostly) if you pay shipping... slow shipping is fine. That's not too bad a (...) (25 years ago, 1-Dec-99, to lugnet.loc.ca, lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: Tilt

I was considering the same thing; there are a few advantages of using rotation sensors: - They would measure all degrees of tilt, but any circuit interrupted type (touch sensor, rod & ring, etc.) will only sense a single angle. - They could sense (...) (25 years ago, 1-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Tilt

Old pinball machines do indeed use a pendulum and ring arrangement to detect tilt. (They also have a ball on a track that rolls toward the back if the front of the machine is lifted up.) The only trick with constructing such with MindStorms (this is (...) (25 years ago, 1-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) <SNIP> Yes they do. It gets very annoying when building with old 1970's bricks. I know, because I have over 100,000 bricks from before 1980.   Re: Postage prices???

Buy the set. Mail it to me. I'll take it to the post office. You'll have it in 3-4 weeks (depending on Xmas). The cost would be ~$33 for insured shipping. I get my shipping costs from: www.parcelforce.com. The cost of shipping two this way would be: (...) (25 years ago, 1-Dec-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

  RE: Tilt

Ok, here's another idea. I just ordered my first rotation sensor...and note that I do not know the details of this sensor yet. Would it be possible to attach a pendulum to the rotation sensor and use it to measure the amount of angle? If so, you (...) (25 years ago, 1-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics)
