  Re: Building Bridges

Duh. I mean 2 plates not 2 studs, and 1 plate, not one stud. A stud is a measure of horizontal distance, not vertical (although technically they are convertable, no one ever speaks that way... OK, 2/5 of a stud and 4/5 of a stud for 1 plate and 2 (...) (25 years ago, 26-Nov-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Lugnet Loves Cats!

(...) I'm a cat hater (1), but I'll be the first to point it out.   Centering (was: I need help with the new tread links)

(...) Actually, you've mentioned off-handedly something that's been bugging me for a long time; how do you "set" the center of rotation?   Re: I need help with the new tread links

(...) Well, I'd get one positioned correctly in good contact with the gear, and in the horizontal plane, then group the two items together, make sure the center of rotation is the center of the gear, and rotate by the proper number of degrees. (...) (25 years ago, 26-Nov-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Clone DATs--any interest?

I am pretty purist myself and can't see using clones or modeling with them (except in trains if some clone comes along and delivers what most trainheads want at acceptable quality levels), but I repeat my thesis: Why be exclusionary? What's wrong (...) (25 years ago, 26-Nov-99, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw, lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, lugnet.cad.dev)
