Re: LEGO Adverts on Channel 5

Lego definitely seem to be making a big sales push for Christmas this year. I have seen both the Star Wars and Znap ads on TV recently, and today in Kilmarnock there were two big billboard ads in the shopping arcade for the Ultimate Lego Guide. (...) (25 years ago, 16-Nov-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

  Re: HandyBoard Charging

Danny, Since you imply that your battery does not take any charge at all, it sounds to me as though your problem is: (1) fuse F1 is open, or (2) a cell in your battery pack is open, or (3) one of the battery wires or its associated PCB land is open.   Lego Insurance?

I'm not sure which catagory this belongs in, so I figured it would be safe to post it here. I'm going to be moving soon and I'm getting renter's insurance. Now, I've got several items that are easy to insure at face value (my computer, stereo, (...) (25 years ago, 16-Nov-99, to lugnet.general)

Snowspeeder for $11.99 at Medallion Target

I was at the Medallion Center Target store a couple of weeks ago and picked up a Snow Speeder for the mis-price of $11.99 (normally $19.99). Last time I was there, it was still priced as such. James Wilson (25 years ago, 16-Nov-99, to lugnet.loc.us.tx.dfw)

He almost made it out of the city. If it wasn't for the fact that Blacktron industries were under investigation for subversive activities with off world forces, the patrolling police unit would have never pulled his ship over. But now, at a floating (...) (25 years ago, 16-Nov-99, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.space)

  Re: Age average

(...) Yes and we had one of the first Apple II+ computers around 1978 or 1979 I think (not to clear as far as the date). We thought it was the best thing ever. It had 2 5-1/2 inch floppy drives and that was it. About 2 years latter we upgraded it (...) (25 years ago, 16-Nov-99, to lugnet.people, lugnet.off-topic.fun)

  Re: 2000 Technic

(...) I would say we might get 3-4 new 84xx sets. But this probably depends on how many "Tech Play" models that appear. I wouldn't say that the large number of Technic sets in other lines necessarily indicate that we'll get fewer 84xx sets. Keep in (...) (25 years ago, 16-Nov-99, to lugnet.technic)
