(...) Well, theoretically, you could throw about four or five of those 2x4x6/8? weight bricks that came with some of the floatable boats to act as a counterbalance in the base of that stand. Arjen Gerstel's comment about wireless mice reminded me of a company called Gyropoint, which makes an inexpensive plastic gyroscope. They have embedded ;this (...) If Lego is moving more towards 'play' than 'build' as some as suggested, by which they mean more 'themed' sets with lots of theme specific parts, but less actual bricks, then perhaps we will see more movie licences like Star Wars to make the sets (...) (25 years ago, 11-Nov-99, to lugnet.general)

TRU, Chatham had 6289s priced at under 30GBP... I grabbed the last two (plus a dozen How Wheels too), and the whole lot came in at under 50GBP!!! 4 quid off the first 6289, 6 quid off the second (?) then bogof (buy-one-get-one-free) on the HWs - (...) (25 years ago, 11-Nov-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)
