Train windows in red white and black.

Well, isn't that a nice surprise! Of course now you have me wanting blue yellow and green, and the glass to go with them, and the narrow windows and stuff, but I guess that bus will be along later. (25 years ago, 10-Nov-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: What might have been...

(...) I agree - what is also happening that with the increased growth of the online Lego community (OLC?), our collective critical abiltiy is evolving. Also, our experiences of MOCs raise our expectations - the main criticism of the Falcon seems to (...) (25 years ago, 10-Nov-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: What might have been...

(...) Er, my point was that what's happening now is absolutely nothing new. Many people have been disappointed every single year since I can remember (back to about November of 1993). Nothing has changed this year except it sounds this year like the (...) (25 years ago, 10-Nov-99, to lugnet.off-topic.fun, lugnet.general)

  Re: What might have been...

(...) The man makes a point. After seeing the LEGO y2k catalog, the one thing that's been going around and around in my head is the notion that we are getting older -- all of us -- while the average age of TLG's targeted audience is pretty much (...)   More castle 2000 set comments

OK, with all the posts nitpicking the new sets, I though I'd add my .02 cents (making it like $3 laying around now... :) ). 6095: Cool looking training dummy. A king and some kind of boring throne (some nice pieces in it), two knights. Arms totals: (...) (25 years ago, 10-Nov-99, to lugnet.castle)

  2000 stuff on brickshelf

(URL) at all these scans. Now you can buy an astronaut all by itself! (it even comes w/ a white "power pack" piece!!!) There is a scan of a Dino set: the Dino Explorer (comes w/ tank treads!!!) And what is that Milma the fairy thing? Eeew. Alex (...) (25 years ago, 10-Nov-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: LEGO ROOM pictures

(...) Oh, come on, that doesn't look any where near as messy as my Lego room (floor) did! you've got to have about 8 boxes of pieces, with about seven or eight constructions going on. The cans of soda, some chips, where's the music! Btw, this is a (...) (25 years ago, 9-Nov-99, to lugnet.trains)

Re: More news on 2000 lineup!

(...) Really? Wow. (...) Oh, ok. Well, like someone reminded me - you're entitled to your opinion. You're wrong, of course, but you're certainly entitled to to be wrong if you want to be. :) (25 years ago, 10-Nov-99, to lugnet.castle)

Arctic is Town (was: Re: My Analysis of the 2000 Sets)

(...) There's absolutely no question about it. The Arctic sets are numbered 6520, 6569, 6573, 6575, 6579, etc., placing theme smack in the middle of the Town range. Divers, also part of Town, were numbered 6441, 6442, 6555, 6556, 6557, 6558, 6559, (...) (25 years ago, 10-Nov-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.town)

  Re: Mindstorms and Bungee Jumping

(...) I see. I was wondering why it took 3 RCXs, 9 motors, and 5 sensors to perform bungee jumping. Thanks, Hao-yang Wang (25 years ago, 10-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  My thought on castle 2000

The large castle looks ok but TL:G could have done much better IMHO. give us sets like 6073 knights castle, 6074 black falcons fortress, 6080 kings castle etc with large numbers of the straight castle walls. Even given the set the straight castle (...) (25 years ago, 10-Nov-99, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Freight Terminal

Nice. Captures the modern warehouse look nicely. Too many clear garage doors though, IMHO. (you should send them to me) (25 years ago, 10-Nov-99, to lugnet.build, lugnet.town)

  Highlights

Why does TLG have to put these strange little highlights on almost every single starwars sets they have made?I just don't understand. Are they trying to attraact you with bright colors or what?I'm so confused!Oh,and check out my blaster and Episode (...)
