  Re: Allright, it´s enough, TLG...

(...) First of all, I need to decrease my screen resolution or sit closer - I thought that was talking about a "Cool Chicks" page, and that put a new light on the quoted sentence.. that I mis-read as well! Urgh - I really wish that Lego weren't so (...) (25 years ago, 9-Nov-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: S@H said "not yet- wait 'till January"

(...) Did you (or anyone else) ask: 1. Prices on the stuff that we don't know yet 2. If and when you can pre-order, especially the May, July, etc. sets 3. When we'll see this stuff in stores Also, did they act as if the sets were in the computer yet (...) (25 years ago, 9-Nov-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Hapless WinNT user

Apparently, standard gcc include files are processed as well. This should never happen, as legOS defines everything on its own. Maybe there's an additional command-line switch for that? -Y or something? Good luck, Luis - I have access to a NT box in (...) (25 years ago, 9-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

  Re: 2000 Town construction sets

(...) Agreed! I got excited for a quick second when I saw the word "hotel", and then I realized it was a background picture :( (URL) you imagine the windows in a hotel set? Julie (25 years ago, 9-Nov-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: retrocastle

(...) Are those grey??? The picture looks dark grey - not that I'm complaining, either way, mind you... ;) James (URL) (25 years ago, 9-Nov-99, to lugnet.castle)

  I feel like a junkie!

Well, I know where my money is going next year. Some thoughts: 7184 (MTT): 2 (maybe 4?) extreme corner slopes in dk grey! WAHOO! Also, several normal extreme slopes in dk grey, and all that brown. IF my eyes don't deceive me, those are 2x2x2 slopes (...) (25 years ago, 9-Nov-99, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.general)

  Re: 2000 Scans are Online!

  Re: Line in the Sand

(...) Yes. WINDING UNKNOWN allows a DAT author to specify what is happening in the file more precisely than CLIPPING OFF. Adding WINDING DOUBLE-SIDED would allow even more author-precision, but there is no practical difference between DOUBLE-SIDED (...) (25 years ago, 9-Nov-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Allright, it´s enough, TLG...

This is what TLG says on the "cool clicks" page: "How well do you know Emma? Go test yourself in the exciting Scala Quiz." Very exciting! --Tobias (25 years ago, 9-Nov-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Dacta Storage

Due to the cost of these, I've not had any experience with them. I think tha tyou'd be better served with cheaper non-lego storage boxes. Just my thoughts though...   retrocastle

With the gray steep slope and steep slope corners in the 7184 MTT, you can build a "Retrocastle", a gray version of the yellow castle! KL (25 years ago, 9-Nov-99, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Line in the Sand

(...) Yes, and 'may' is more more correct than 'should', since the "Rendering Engine Requirements" section really is included just to provide a framework for the language extensions. The document specifies the input, and we have a general (...) (25 years ago, 9-Nov-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  MF Goofup?

I was just looking at Kevin's close-up of the MF ((URL) noticed something. I think the top front mandible is one crooked, or coming off! It, and the side pieces ramping down to the circular docking ports, are attached via 5-tooth hinges. But take a (...) (25 years ago, 9-Nov-99, to lugnet.starwars)

My thoughts on the new sets

OK here are my $.02 worth on the new SW sets. #7115 Gungan Patrol 79 pcs $10.00 ($11.00 SAH) Cheap way to build a Gungan army. Not a bad looking set.   Thoughts on 2000 SW

Wow. I have to say that I am much more impressed than I thought I would be. And not just with SW, but across the board ... but, since this is SW, I'll give my thoughts on that line here :) I absolutely *love* the AAT. Amazingly (and I haven't done (...)
