Re: Expansion Board and Smooth PWM

Bill, after unzipping the files, copy all the downloaded drivers into your interactive C Libs directory. These drivers must reside in this directory (drive:\IC\Libs) in order for IC to load them at startup. You will be asked if you want to replace (...)   Re: Parts Pack Survey

(...) I don't see how this is relative to the question asked? The fact that I have not ordered any parts packs proves that TLG does not offer anything that I wish to purchase. It does not determine if I have a right to complain about it or not. If (...) (25 years ago, 27-Oct-99, to lugnet.general)

  RCX 1.0 availablilty

This is a message I posted on RTL: Here is what I have observed so far: The RCX's in the plain 1.0 boxes all have power jacks. The RCX's in the 1.0 boxes with 1.5 upgrade stickers also have the jacks The RCX's in the 1.5 boxes do not have power (...) (25 years ago, 27-Oct-99, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.robotics.rcx)

  Re: motor current trick

A couple of easy things that you can do to increase the current capabilities of the motor drivers are: (1) replace the L293Ds with SN754410 chips (available from Acroname), and (2) piggyback one H-bridge chip on top of the other to handle almost (...)   RE: fast firmware downloader

(...) Count me in. I'm ditching the Tcl interface - it's just too damn goofy! A standard firmware downloader would be great - especially if it ran on all platforms. As far As I know, Dave Baum is the only guy here who has got a downloader for the (...) (25 years ago, 27-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos, lugnet.robotics.rcx, lugnet.robotics.rcx.pbforth)

Re: High praise for TLG after seeing 4288 bucket for first time

They actually did that a few years ago. The FreeStyle 'big red bucket' 4128 came with a dark gray brick seperator. This bucket has several macaroni bricks, two yellow baseplates, six of the large fence pieces and some other interesting parts. Oh, it (...) (25 years ago, 27-Oct-99, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: fast firmware downloader

(...) If there's interest in a stand-alone firmware downloader running on the Mac, please let me know. I can certainly add the approriate quad-speed stuff into NQC, and can also make a stand-alone version if Mac users are using pbFORTH or something (...)   motor current trick

I've got a great R/C track vehicle that I want to use as a robot chassis, problem is the 1 Amp motors. I was going to use Kam's suggestion, but then I saw the Sonar schematics. I noticed that the sonar schematics have power coming from the motor (...) (25 years ago, 27-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)
