  Re: NEW POWER SUPPLY

Great solution Gary! How about just pulling the L293D/SN754410 from the U11 socket, bending pin-8 out and soldering the REALLY BIG battery positive lead to it, then soldering the negative lead to pin-1 without bending it out, and then reinstalling (...)   Re: Ideas for Egyptian workers

(...) Unfortunately, the only one that comes with a white ninja is 3053... and that sells for about 40 bucks; not to mention that it only comes with *1* white ninja... but it's still kinda cool... the set also gives a nice bit of tan, too... DaveE (25 years ago, 14-Oct-99, to lugnet.adventurers)

Re: Buying older sets from lego

(...) I agree. Just give the the set number, but be sure to call S@H directly, not their overflow/afterhours service. My experience has been that the overflow people do not have as accurate inventory info. S@H direct: (800) 835-4386 Ben Gatrelle (25 years ago, 14-Oct-99, to lugnet.market.shopping)

(...) Not to be too pushy, but just a little curious as to why this is going to someone not currently on the list (hey, I haven't seen a Jambalaya box in a couple months - who knows what happened to Junk Box #2).   Re: NEW POWER SUPPLY

This was explained a week or two ago here on the list server. Check back and you'll find out what traces to cut, etc. However, I have found another way that is very simple, and does not require you to make difficult-to-fix cuts on your boards. Just (...)   So explain to me why Lego UK dont do trains!

I was in Innsbruck, Austria this week for a conference. On my way back to my hotel, I went passed a small toy shop and noticing Lego Starwars I thought I would take a look inside. Imagine how annoyed I was to see a wide array of Lego Train on the (...) (25 years ago, 14-Oct-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Re: Upcoming _Star Wars_ Mindstorms and Technics Releases

(...) Sure. But the person who got the leaked info might not know that. Early rumors for the R2D2 set called it a Mindstorms R2D2. Same thing, yeah? I'm not saying the rumor is accurate, just that where it says "Mindstorms", it might be fair to read (...) (25 years ago, 14-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Upcoming _Star Wars_ Mindstorms and Technics Releases

(...) If we get Stormtroopers, we're going to get blasters. In my opinion, the most exciting playset, minifig wise, would be a Bespin Playset - Stormtroopers, Vader, Han, Chewie, Leia, BobaFet, C3PO, Lando . . . who else? I don't know. . . I think (...) (...) Because I'm a cynic, and it sounds too good to be true. :) Also, I find the odds of so many Mindstorms kits very slim. There is already a battledroid in the DDK, so another one seems odd.
