Re: Favorite Adventurers vehicles (Re: 4x2ReVu: 5909)

(...) I felt they had poor color selection and a low piece count. Nothing that couldn't ultimately be fixed with a load of fairly standard bricks, I suppose. (...) Three sets of different size consisting of nothing but white bricks just doesn't do (...) (27 years ago, 7-Oct-99, to lugnet.adventurers)

  Re: CRUSADER STICKERS!!!!

(...) This sounds so cool - congratulations on getting this done. Questions: Are these just torso-sized stickers or can you also get triangle and egg-shaped stickers? I was confused by your next post. Will these come on a sheet of some sort, like 30 (...) (27 years ago, 7-Oct-99, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

Re: some good stuff on ebay

(...) Please don't apologise. I'm glad you brought these to our attention! I think a lot of us feel that eBay has flaws but is the most viable way to sell things if you want wide exposure. I think a lot of us think it has flaws but it is a good way (...) (27 years ago, 7-Oct-99, to lugnet.market.auction)

  Re: New angled beam

(...) Well, yes. And they're a tad bit overdone, in my opinion. The 1998 low profile wheels, as in 8428 and 8462, look pretty good as motorcycle wheels, but for a car, they look quite odd, I think. But as you say, they try to look like alloy wheels, (...) (27 years ago, 7-Oct-99, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Lego Article (Re: I'm famous (or infamous))

(...) Nope, no better intel, but my feeling is this: women do most of the gift-buying, especially for kids. When men buy gifts, it's for a woman. So, when males are buying LEGO, it is likely they are buying for themselves. I'd put it as high as (...) (27 years ago, 7-Oct-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.people)

Re: general rambling (was: New angled beam)

(...) I haven't seen the suspension setup of the 8448, but can it be that the shock absorber is closer to that chassis up front than rear? When using the 8880 setup, I've found this to be a problem. If you put the shock absorbers too close to the (...) (27 years ago, 7-Oct-99, to lugnet.technic)

  More IR proximity detectors

We're trying to use the little radio shack IR transmitter and reciever units to build our own. We're not sure exactly how this will work, but before we get too far, is this a reasonable thing to do? Will these be strong enough to use as proximity (...) (27 years ago, 7-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)
