Lego Article (Re: I'm famous (or infamous))

(...) Thanks, Gary. Here is a copy of the article (portions of it appeared in my statewide newspaper's business section today). I'm also supposed to do a little interview with a local radio station on Friday. THANKS, Poilin!!! ---...--- Lego Uses (...) (25 years ago, 6-Oct-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.people)

  Re: I'm famous (or infamous)

Hey Joseph, Congratulations!!! Like the late pop artist Andy Warhol once said, "everyone is famous for 15 minutes". Maybe you've still got another 13 minutes to go! Gary Istok (...) (25 years ago, 6-Oct-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.people)

Re: The beginings of my modular Star Wars base.

(...) Yeah, kinda too bad we don't have more time... I don't think I'll keep mine up for too long after the event, tho... I've been on a castle theme kick for a while, but with most of my grey bricks used up in the AT-AT (and now the mountain too) (...) (25 years ago, 6-Oct-99, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: What is Homecoming? (Re: Somebody help.)

(...) Did Tech ever win a homecoming game? Note to onlookers: Michigan Technological University is (well, was) not well-endowed when it came to football. At the time I was there (mid-80's) we didn't have a football stadium, just a gridiron with a (...) (25 years ago, 6-Oct-99, to lugnet.people)

I am after any other color - can anyone think of any others, or was the witch a (...) (25 years ago, 6-Oct-99, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Insurance

(...) Yet another satisfied State Farm customer. I can't speak for home owners policies, but my car and renters insurance are handled by the same agent (and they just instituted a discount for having multiple different policies). As far as special (...) (25 years ago, 6-Oct-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: Town Jr on LEGO site ?!?

(...) Actually, mes amis, "Town Jr." was first coined as an attempt to upgrade the LEGO Duplo line and give it its first theme. This is why the new Duplo figures have legs and crude new vehicles with working patrol lights. They also have slopes and (...) (25 years ago, 6-Oct-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: FS : Mars promo sets

(...) You can check out Robert Munafo's research on this very subject: (URL) short, it appears that LEGO bricks are neither, but hovering at some fudge factor in-between. Most likely, they started out using imperial measurements, were adjusted (...) (25 years ago, 6-Oct-99, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade, lugnet.off-topic.fun)

  RE: Rotary electrical coupling

It's interesting you mention this. I have also started to use RJ11 and RJ45 connectors in my constructions. It is a neat and compact way of routing 2, 4, 6, or 8 wires around. I am working out the most neat and compact way of stuffing them into a (...) (25 years ago, 6-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.robotics.rcx)
