Re: It's Time AFOL Take Action!

Most of the demographic info that Ian suggests we collect is part of the roll call form. I'd suggest people post or update their forms rather than reposting this info... Here's a searchable entry point: (URL) Larry Pieniazek larryp@novera.com (URL) (...) (25 years ago, 30-Sep-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: The LD environment (or, Datsville in Space)

I'm not sure what all the hubub is about regards what is or isn't "allowed" into someone's design. What is our "Current Space Technology" anyway? We (humans of Earth) can build (with a whole lot of agument between nations and corporations) a space (...) (25 years ago, 30-Sep-99, to lugnet.space)

(...) It's definitely something to be decided. (...) Yep, make force-fields possible, but too expensive to be practical. (...) Oops. The world gov't deals with issues throughout the Sol system. Maybe there are colonies on other planets, but other (...) (25 years ago, 30-Sep-99, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Hunger website

(...) That's true -- in terms of effort on the part of the doners, it's the best way to go! Much easier than donating, say, a kidney. :-, (...) Eh? I saw no spam coming from you, sir. I'm reconsidering what I said eariler -- I no longer think you (...) (25 years ago, 30-Sep-99, to lugnet.off-topic.debate, lugnet.general)

  Re: apartments

(...) This is a cool building. I did see some problems, though. First, the couch floats a plate off the floor. Two plates (1x1, 1x2) in the stair sections are not seated under the rest of the pieces. Also, I think the stair color should be changed (...) (25 years ago, 30-Sep-99, to lugnet.cad.dat.models)

  Re: Hunger website

(...) As far as donations go, I'd certainly agree. But they didn't require anything from me... I tried it before posting it (one would hope I would!) and it was simply a single click-- no cookies were dropped, no forms to fill out, no information to (...)   Re: Hidden surface removal, and vertex order in part/primitive DAT files

Hello, Ok guys, I already announced that I coded such a tool in Java. At present, only one Ldrawer has asked for the code. In fact, it's an alpha release. Thus, I should find beta testers first. Anyway it has already translated some pieces! Here is (...) (25 years ago, 30-Sep-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Lego in the UK

(...) Hey, Ben -- thanks for the heads up...I won't set my expectations too high (unlike my trip to Cincinnati earlier this week) I don't suppose you'll have a chance to check out the Kent province(Canterbury, Dover) anytime soon? :-) Paul, who is (...) (...) But Jules Verne typically made few assumptions about technology in his novels. He took those few assumptions tried to see where they would take him. Contrast that with "Sci Fi" which has faster-than-light drives, artificial gravity, devices (...) (25 years ago, 30-Sep-99, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Hunger website

(...) You've been spammed, but I don't think directly from the Hunger Site. It's not cost-efficient to spam guest books. They also have a disclaimer for exactly this kind of thing: (URL) I haven't been hit, and I'm a member of both the Legomaniac's (...)   Is Classic Space really that fantastic?

I have never owned a Classic Space set, so maybe I am the wrong person to say this, but here we go: I have alwys loved space. When I found the Internet and all the exciting space stuff there, I was very excited. Escpecially over Classic space. (...) (25 years ago, 30-Sep-99, to lugnet.space)

Re: What would you think of a crusader torso being available?

(...) Hrmmm.... maybe it's the miniaturization that makes it so expensive. Silk screening t-shirts is one thing, but silk screening a shirt not even an inch square may be something entirely different... Maybe it's so expensive for the same reason (...) (25 years ago, 30-Sep-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: The LD environment (or, Datsville in Space)

I'm not really sure if this is the appropriate group... None of the off-topic subgroups really fit, and I can't seem to post one to just plain lugnet.off-topic with the web interface... Anyway, someone just emailed me this site-- Apparently for (...) (25 years ago, 30-Sep-99, to lugnet.general)
