  Re: Classic space animations

Yeah, I could. I have downloaded a DAT from Lugnet of the Alienator, but maybe I should code in the DAT myself, because I think that I´m taking credit of something I haven´t made. But, I can always contact the author of the DAt and ask for (...) (27 years ago, 30-Sep-99, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Lego in the UK

(...) Well I was recently there and checked out Cardiff and some of its surrounding areas and was pretty bummed out. Just a bunch of King Kahukas (why, I don't know). I thought I was onto a good thing - bummer. Ben (27 years ago, 30-Sep-99, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.loc.uk)

  Adults Are People Too!

Dear Lego, Several months ago, I was re-introduced to one of my favorite childhood toys, Lego, spurred by the appearance of the Mindstorms product line. Somehow, from the moment I saw that box on the shelf, I knew that I would be buying a lot of (...) (27 years ago, 30-Sep-99, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Why are SSIs bad?

(...) My ISP (io.com) serves .shtml so they expire quickly (I believe but haven't tested), but .html files with the executable file attribute (using XBitHack) are served as if they were static, even with SSI code. I use the XBitHack approach. It's (...) (27 years ago, 30-Sep-99, to lugnet.off-topic.geek, lugnet.publish)

RE: 8448 Street Sensation Racing - Are you game?

The problem with the 8448 is that the Lego motor is not powerful enough to do any "racing", or take advantage of the gear box. If you use a single motor and a battery box, then the 8448 moves rather slowly on smooth surfaces only. If you shift the (...) (27 years ago, 30-Sep-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Why are SSIs bad?

Sproaticus: (...) I am not quite sure what security problems there are with SSI. My main reason for (mostly) not using SSI on published web pages is that I suspect that it means that the pages won't be stored by proxies. Is it possible to make (...)   Re: Compressors, Valves, and Other Wishes

(...) Excellent Ben, I'll check those out... Off topic, but... Have you people seen the satire/black comedy American Beauty yet? I highly recommend it. Ben, perhaps Kevin Spacey's character inspired you to quit your job and lead a fuller life to (...) (27 years ago, 30-Sep-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: S@H Prices

(...) wow. i think this is the first time i've seen the "Kalifornia" spelling outside of a firearms/2nd ammendment newsgroup. either the VFAQman is another gun nut like me, or the state really IS that bad. the firearms newsgroup references are (...) (27 years ago, 30-Sep-99, to lugnet.general)

  Why are SSIs bad?

Hey all, I use SSI (server-side includes) a *LOT* on my Web pages. They're extremly powerful and versatile. I'm almost a firm believer. But I recall some folks warning about potential security holes and other problems with SSI. Rooting around the (...) (27 years ago, 30-Sep-99, to lugnet.off-topic.geek, lugnet.publish)
