| | JDH/UK Auction 3 - Trains
|
| The two main sets consist of the train, track and engine driver only, i.e. no passengers, loads, platforms, road vehicles, etc. The speed regulators are available at no extra cost if required (240VAC @ 50/60Hz), but they will obviously increase (...) | (...) The 8250 Rescue Sub is indeed a great way to start a pneumatics collection. Then just purchase more tubing, valves, and cylinders from S@H or Dacta. The Front End Loaded is a more expensive set with three large cylinders, two valves, a tank, (...) (25 years ago, 28-Sep-99, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.build)

| (...) Problem is that I have no time to go through the learning curve for perl to set it up in that. I know Access. (...) Since Access is part of MS-Office, it will run on both the WinTel and Mac systems. It is not just for NT. Besides, if people (...) (25 years ago, 28-Sep-99, to lugnet.general)

| (...) Odd. I was going to build a rock quarry/strip mine/construction yard/landfill and let other people stock it. Now, though, with Jonathan and others building public works, I probably won't. Unless, of course, nobody else wants to do it....:) (...) (25 years ago, 28-Sep-99, to lugnet.cad.dat.models)

|
| Lego my Lego! I stopped by the Campbell Public Library last night to check out the room. It's not as nice or as big as the Fukaya. It is building-locked in the middle of the library, so there are no windows. It is smaller than the Fukaya-maybe half (...) (25 years ago, 28-Sep-99, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf)

| (...) Question on the landscaping: One, I'd like to use Tore Eriksson's Pine tree--it's rather long, though, so should I MPD it, inline it, or would you prefer that I not use it at all? (I'd *really* like the .dat file of the trees that you've (...) (25 years ago, 28-Sep-99, to lugnet.cad.dat.models)

| For what its worth, the Lego Shop@Home catalog is offering the #8250 Rescue Sub for $25.00, discounted from $49.50. Big pump, air tank, one valve, one big cylinder, long yellow beams and nifty molded shapes. For the price, I'm thinking of getting (...) | Basically, "Carthage must be destroyed." For the language and history impaired, Cato (besides being one of the great speakers in Roman history) had a bit of a Carthage obsession, insisting at the end of every speech, no matter what the topic (food, (...)
