  Re: Space stations?

(...) Yes, very interesting creations! In dark grey, it would vaguely reminds me of Deep Space 9. Does your station have docking ports and/or can it be expandable? Any deckplans to show internal arrangement? Not that it *must* have those things, but (...) (25 years ago, 26-Sep-99, to lugnet.space)

Re: Space Station/Base Names (was Re: Space stations?)

(...) I'd think of Base to be something purely military/government. Outpost and Station are either mixed or all civilian -- the difference being that an Outpost would be more on the frontier. (25 years ago, 26-Sep-99, to lugnet.space)

  Re: A use for TownJr

(...) Sure, but not all children are the same. If your child understands not to put them in his/her mouth, and you're there to supervise, it's probably okay to disregard the warning. (25 years ago, 26-Sep-99, to lugnet.town)

Re: How To Add A Rotation Sensor and A Touch Sensor On the Same Input?

(...) Yeah, as I said, the light-sensor/touch-sensor combo works well because of the types of values the sensor returns. The rotation sensor works differently, and is difficult to combine with something else. (25 years ago, 26-Sep-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Space Station/Base Names (was Re: Space stations?)

(...) fun. (...) After reading your post again Steve, it seems I ignored it. And I ignored Jonathan too. My apologies! Please forgive me. I like your ideas now that I've read them again. And they can both work together. Steve, to nitpick here, (...) (25 years ago, 26-Sep-99, to lugnet.space)

  Re: My favorite Adventurer sets

(...) Some of the WW1 planes are "tail-draggers" On my LEGO models I add the LEGO piece thats looks like a 1x2 plate with two rods attached to either end. Lots easier on the tail : ) (...) you dont see the strings tied to the triggers? <grin> (...) (...) (25 years ago, 26-Sep-99, to lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.reviews)

  Re: A use for TownJr

(...) Lego is not appropriate for a 2 yr old It says "contains small parts. not for children under 3" or something like that on the box. -- Jonathan Wilson wilsonj@xoommail.com (URL) (25 years ago, 26-Sep-99, to lugnet.town)

Re: How To Add A Rotation Sensor and A Touch Sensor On the Same Input?

I already succesfully put a touch sensor and a proximity sensor (a light sensor and an IR port) on the same input. I tried some different configurations to get a touch sensor and rotation sensor on the same input but it didn't work. I'm wondering if (...) (25 years ago, 26-Sep-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Finding Sets in Stores!

Has anyone found or seen any Pirate sets in stores lately? I had given up finding anything anymore, but last week I found 7 sets in two different stores. A Walmart had 4 Armada flagships and a TRU had 3 King Kahuna thrones. I find this remarkable (...) (25 years ago, 26-Sep-99, to lugnet.pirates)

  9/26 Meeting Summary

Tim Rueger and I attented today's gathering. Tim brought his Metroliner and Load N' Haul Railroad and set up a train layout using them.   Lego CAD TV Show?

Did anyone see a show last week about a supercomputer designed model of a bridge? It was built to validate the computer programs design, with the idea being that if it was accurate using lego it would be accurate using other materials. (25 years ago, 26-Sep-99, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Paradisa question

(...) Ray, I have opened two of those sets and each one has had a red fishing pole. I haven't a clue as to why yours had a black one. If you want a red one, you can contact me. Tom (25 years ago, 26-Sep-99, to lugnet.town)

  Episode II

According to the Internet Movie DataBase www.imdb.com Portman, Jackson, and Baker will be returning for E2. I would guess that both Daniels and McGregor would also be back. I sure hope DiCraprio doesn't get Anakin's role. Anyone else got any more (...) (25 years ago, 26-Sep-99, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Concerning John DiRienzo

(...) I heard from him on Monday (9/20) by email. I'm still waiting for the item he offered in trade for a set I sent 3 months ago. He is either too busy, terribly unorganized, or he just doesn't care enough about the people he deals with. I don't (...) (25 years ago, 26-Sep-99, to lugnet.general)

Star Wars on sale at K-Mart

Todays K-Mart newspaper insert (Sun 9/26) contains a blurb that all Lego Star Wars sets are 10% off. They specifically mention Episode 1 and Classic Star Wars (?). I stopped into one store and checked. Sure enough, a $19.99 set was scanning at (...) (25 years ago, 26-Sep-99, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: What promotions are currently running?

Huw Millington wrote in message ... (...) I think the McD's sets you (UK, Europe, Germnay?) had earlier this year were the same as the Blockbuster sets we (the US) had last year. I am not sure if the numbers were the same or not. (...) Every three (...) (25 years ago, 26-Sep-99, to lugnet.promo)

Re: How To Add A Rotation Sensor and A Touch Sensor On the Same Input?

(...) This doesn't work as well as putting a touch sensor and light sensor on the same port. The data that the light sensor sends back (a value normally between 40-80) is easy to distinguish from that sent by the touch sensor (0 or 100, if you have (...)
