  Re: History of LEGO series........

(...) What you're doing is incredible work, Gary! Since these come only every so often, I hadn't realized all the work that had been put into the lot of 'em until I did a news-article search. I'll be first in line if you publish a book! BTW, for (...) (25 years ago, 24-Sep-99, to lugnet.general)

  Zany Brainy Sale

Hi all. Was at the new Zany Brainy in Pleasanton the other day: supposedly there's a sale today (9/24) and tomorrow (I think), to celebrate the opening of their 100th store, which includes selected Lego sets. IIRC, some Star Wars stuff, and maybe (...) (25 years ago, 24-Sep-99, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf)

  My TGV

Here's my interpretation of the TGV (URL) could still do with a bit of work and some better photos but Steve Barile was dying to see my progress. It uses my spring-loaded close-coupled articulation that Steve mentioned. Matt (25 years ago, 24-Sep-99, to lugnet.trains)

(URL) my auction, just pointing you to it... Patrick Sayre-Little <sayrew@pr.erau.edu> wrote in message news:37EBB2E0.F5664D...rau.edu... (...) so, (...) (25 years ago, 24-Sep-99, to lugnet.market.auction)

  #493 Space Command Center FS/FT

I built this as a double for trade or sale, and in doing so discovered that it was the very first issue of this set. See the current remarks in Lugnet.space for more info. I'm tempted to hold onto it, but what the heck, I would rather have some sets (...) (25 years ago, 24-Sep-99, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

  Re: Space stations?

(...) My vote is for the flat faced design. It generally takes up less room and (I think) is easier to incorporate into a design. Have you tried using a 2 x 1 x 1 panel instead of the 1 x 1 w/ headlight and tile design? I vaguely (sp) remember using (...) (25 years ago, 24-Sep-99, to lugnet.space)

  Re: **Bad Trader??**

(...) HI John I got my long delayed LEGO items today. :)) Thanks Andrew and hope things work out as best they can. John (25 years ago, 24-Sep-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Space stations?

(...) Ooo, cool idea -- put a standard port on a fuel module, except instead of an airlock door, there're just fuel-feed connectors. If these feeds are also standardized, the receiving ship just plugs into the fuel automatically. If not, the (...) (25 years ago, 24-Sep-99, to lugnet.space)

[Datsville] Renovated House with Porch, Includes a Yard  [DAT]

Here is my renovated House with Porch. It is built up on a hill, and includes landscaping, a garage, my car, and, of course, my House with Porch. The MPD will not view properly, so you will have to split it(1). Also, for some reason, it thinks (...) (25 years ago, 24-Sep-99, to lugnet.cad.dat.models)

  Re: Space stations?

(...) True. But I was thinking about if I wanted to actually build something. You know, without the computer. Steve (25 years ago, 24-Sep-99, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Space stations?

(...) Yes, there should be at least a minimum opening standard for each DP type. The sealing surface spec will settle the question of maximum opening. (...) Depends on how absent-minded your crew is. And whether the safety locks are reliable. :) (...) (25 years ago, 24-Sep-99, to lugnet.space)

  Re: two Technic Control Centers

The current high bids for these items are $25 for one and $20 for the other. Picture available at: (URL) are the programmable motor controlling devices, not complete #8094 sets. Auction ends Sunday. Email bids to graywolf@pcpros.net (25 years ago, 24-Sep-99, to lugnet.market.auction)

  Re: Space stations?

(...) Oops. Erg. This is not easily resolved. Drat. The indented/extended portions could be changed to use bricks and tiles, instead of slopes. Or we could keep the surfaces flat, like the M3 port. Steve (25 years ago, 24-Sep-99, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Divers (was: Lugnet Roll-call)

(...) Yup. It is slightly longer than the Atlantis from Launch 'N Load Seaport. I'm glad I got three extra copies of 6560. That is a great set! Jeff P.S. I don't know how big the USS Constellation is, so I'm not including it. (25 years ago, 24-Sep-99, to lugnet.town)

Re: NELUG Meeting R.S.V.P. (Was: "So?")

(...) I can definitely make it next Tuesday. Probably not Sunday the 26th, but I could make it the following Sunday if that works better for people. (I'm also available this Thursday although that date wasn't officially offered by Suzanne and the (...) (25 years ago, 24-Sep-99, to lugnet.loc.us.ma.bos)

  Re: Divers (was: Lugnet Roll-call)

[lugnet.people snipped from ng list] (...) Good point. The lack of detail is doubly-disappointing, because the boats are the biggest point of variation between the sets.[1] In a way, they are the reason to get *all* the Divers sets. Is the ship in (...) (25 years ago, 24-Sep-99, to lugnet.town)

  Re: New question/challenge...

I have never seen/recognized a 9V piece for that purpose. But you can use the middle wheels from the 12V motor and fit them into the holes on the side of the 9V motor. I suspect that TLG put the holes there to eventually offer spare wheels, but (...) (25 years ago, 24-Sep-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: So?

Tuesday is fine for me... But as for the Sunday issue... Sunday the 26th appears to be fine at the moment (but that may change quickly, seeing as it's almost the weekend already)... However, Sunday October 3rd I am otherwise occupied (with other (...) (25 years ago, 24-Sep-99, to lugnet.loc.us.ma.bos)
