Re: Lets get a datsville castle going

(...) Yep... it's the whole Star Trek holodeck lego fantasy-- just dreaming what you could make out of infinite bricks, all assembled as you dictated... you just have the computer build what you imagine... Rather like the underground goblin kingdom (...) (25 years ago, 23-Sep-99, to lugnet.castle)

In article <FIItvM.MnK@lugnet.com>, Robert Munafo <munafo@gcctechNO.SPAMcom> writes (...) Where have you *been* the last few months? Check this out: (URL) scroll down to the lego. Last time I looked, they still had 8880s, plus other goodies. (25 years ago, 23-Sep-99, to lugnet.technic)

  RE: Technic Shuttle

I ordered (and received) 2 of them (8880's). Mint in Box. In the past I also ordered the 5571, and recently the 8485. These guys are good, even though their web site could use lots of polish. (25 years ago, 23-Sep-99, to lugnet.technic)

25th Anniversary Silver Buckets available at Service Merchandise

Check out: (URL) is their listed price, but it looks like they're still available. My last find of one of these was in a going-ou-of-business sale for a Service Merchandise in Atlanta, GA last April. Good luck! Ed (25 years ago, 23-Sep-99, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: New pics of the finished commuter train

Thanks for all the kind words. James I have had my EP2 together for at least a year and haven't fatigued the rubberbands yet. This includes the PDX GATs and the current Toy store layout. Are you using the black square cross section ones or the round (...) (25 years ago, 23-Sep-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: next BayLUG meeting

(URL) was selling the train controllers for $20, $22.20 with shipping - that included the unit, AC adapter, and track wire. I only got one, since I already have 5 ;-) Check it out, they may have more. They'd be handy for some custom wiring - open (...) (25 years ago, 23-Sep-99, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf)

Re: Lets get a datsville castle going

(...) Hmm. Hadn't considered that, really. It's a serious style choice. I know what I'd probably go with(1), but I suspect everyone has their preferences for how their walls look. :/ (...) I had in mind no real style requirements - I think it would (...) (25 years ago, 23-Sep-99, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.cad)

  12v trains & track / 4.5v track

The two main sets consist of the train, track and engine driver only, i.e. no passengers, loads, platforms, road vehicles, etc. The speed regulators are available at no extra cost if required (240VAC @ 50/60Hz), but they will obviously increase (...)   Re: Lets get a datsville castle going

(...) Yeah, I'm inclined to agree... but it could vary from castle to castle, too. I think I'd rather see castles without the castle siding too... less realistic to have windows every foot. Here's another question... how thick should they be? should (...) (25 years ago, 23-Sep-99, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.cad)
