  Re: IRPD revisited

(...) Very nice! Although I think your statement about robots breaking apart when they hit a wall is a bit over-dramatic. Lego creations stick together pretty well -- I've built a large number of robots with mechanical bump sensors. That's not to (...) (25 years ago, 18-Sep-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: DAT view browser add-on - where?

Martin Erdelen: (...) You can find LDLite (which most people use for viewing LDraw files) at <URL:(URL). (...) The address of LDLite should be in the FAQ. You are very welcome to write a short piece on "How cad I view LDraw files in my browser?" for (...) (25 years ago, 18-Sep-99, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Who here in Legoland has a Cable modem?

(...) Here in the Lehigh Valley, I pay $35 a month for my cable modem, nothing extra for the modem. This is through RCN, who now owns Erol's, so I can also connect with a modem from my laptop in a VERY large geographic area. Rob +---...---+ | Rob (...) (25 years ago, 18-Sep-99, to lugnet.general)

DAT view browser add-on - where?

Hi, please excuse a stupid question, but where can I find the browser add-on for viewing DAT files, which is mentioned on the DAT sublist masthead, but without source :-( (And yes, I did read the LDRAW FAQ, but no luck there, either.) Thanks in (...) (25 years ago, 18-Sep-99, to lugnet.cad)

Re: FOTM - on Ebay even!

(...) I had a similar FOTM, I got a 733 Universal on eBay for $30, that went for over $80 just a few days earlier. Very strange. This set has 8 blue outside corner slopes in it, as well as 8 inside corners and a variety of other useful bricks, (...) (25 years ago, 18-Sep-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Tasks vs. program slots

(...) They are one and the same. When transmitting, the IR tower just uses the RS-232 TXD line to switch on the 38kHz carrier. It also has some timing circuitry to keep it alive, and an Rx side, but the Tx is painfully simple. You'll probably see (...) (25 years ago, 18-Sep-99, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

Re: Browser Add-On to View DAT Files...

Steven Broughton: (...) You're wrong here. (...) Any of these will do. The most common choice seems to be LDLite. Play well, Jacob ---...--- -- E-mail: sparre@cats.nbi.dk -- -- Web...: <URL:(URL) -- ---...--- (25 years ago, 18-Sep-99, to lugnet.faq)

  IRPD revisited

Hi All, Dennis Clark gave us a great design for a two channel infra-red proximity detector. It works well in a large number robot designs. I have just completed an IRPD with a slightly different design point. It is a single channel detector, housed (...) (25 years ago, 18-Sep-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Tasks vs. program slots

(...) The Sharp GP1U581Y is a 38kHz receiver that incorporates an amp, a limiter, a bandpass filter, and a demodulator ... outputs a low while receiving an IR signal, a +5V high when not. It does NOT do any decoding. (...) From what I've been seeing (...) (25 years ago, 18-Sep-99, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

Re: Hello at all Castle Lovers

(...) mike ~ i hope 2000 brings a great castle theme. a REVIVAL of classic castle would be the best. i really don't care what sub-theme is used; i just don't want to see this theme juniorized like ninja was! i love the ninja stuff overall, but jr. (...) (25 years ago, 18-Sep-99, to lugnet.castle)
