Re: Toy Aid for children affected from Earthquake in Turkey

Julie just reported back from the PO and it will be even MORE to ship than we had first thought. Quoting from an email she sent (with permission) (...) To the group... what should we do? It chaps me to spend 1/2 the total just on postage. Should we (...) (27 years ago, 13-Sep-99, to lugnet.general)

  RE: Automatic sorting

(...) HaHa, I did have to use the soldering iron to cut away a section so the motorcycle wheels would fit in...I didn't want to use the deeper PLANO box because it would waste storage space. Cheers, Ralph Hempel - P.Eng ---...--- Check out pbFORTH (...) (27 years ago, 13-Sep-99, to lugnet.storage)

  RCX 'brick connectors' and how-they-work??

I was just looking at this, and realized why the male posts have only partly-exposed connectors. ISTHERE an online description of these connectors and how they work on sensors and actuators?? ISTHERE anyone online selling additional or modified (...) (27 years ago, 13-Sep-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Automatic sorting

  RE: New Lego challenge !

This is a REALLY good idea. Here's something I had kicking around in my head... 1. Making a maze that we can all use is kinda hard. 2. Making a bot small enough to fit a standard buildable maze is really hard. I propose we invert the problem a (...) (27 years ago, 13-Sep-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Next NELUG meeting and potential Group project(s).

(...) How many RCXs do we have between us all? It might be fun to create some sort of large group-behavior system. (I've got one; my friend paul has another that I might be able to borrow even if he's not coming.)   Re: Fair Auction? (Was Re: Honest Capitalism)

(...) Real world ethics debate aside, does Lego-Distribution have to be so heavily tied to the real-world and the evolved Capitalism that we know today? If we can think of a fairer system for Lego, then why isn't that desirable? Richard (27 years ago, 13-Sep-99, to lugnet.market.theory)

  Re: Datsville--Town Hall

(...) too (...) large. (...) It's just perfect--and it's smaller than what *I* was planning, that's for sure. Actually reminds me of a building back home. I like how you made it modular. Saves time--easily expanded/shrunk. Good job. Brian (bbq) (...) (27 years ago, 13-Sep-99, to lugnet.cad.dat.models)

  Re: Datsville: crane

The idea is that you start with the crane and a 32x32 area (or larger if you wish) and then gradually build a building underneath it. I'd be willing to give you a building in pieces as I cad it so we get the right effect. I have a cool design that (...) (27 years ago, 13-Sep-99, to lugnet.cad.dat.models)

  Re: FOTW at KMART

Well, I am sure some stores do mark up deliberately, but working with the Systems department at Meijer, many times, it is a screw up uploading the prices every week. Cashiers due submit forms when things come up wrong, so it can be administered to. (...) (27 years ago, 13-Sep-99, to lugnet.market.shopping)
