Re: Greater Midwest Lego Users Group

(...) That sounds like a cool way to navigate to the sub-areas as long as it doesn't need CGI access, (didn't spring for that). I'm guessing John is working on an overall logo which would be needed also, (as long as it doesn't irritate everybody by (...)   Re: McDonalds set

(...) It does, but don't get too excited - all 8 are in a tiny picture about 3" x 3". The McDonaldland characters are faces printed on 2x3 low slopes. Ronald McDonald has a red & yellow helicopter. Birdie has a pink, white, and yellow seaplane. (...) (25 years ago, 9-Sep-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Datsville

I'm not sure if you've seen it yet, but I've been working on a few new "smaller" elements. Among them are the Texas-style (horizontal) traffic signals and 2 different street light designs. (I've used the shorter street light before in my real Lego (...) (25 years ago, 9-Sep-99, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Greater Midwest Lego Users Group

(...) I'd started this (with Michigan) a few weeks ago, but then I got a new Hard Drive. My plan was to use 1x1 rounds to represent the cities in each LUGNET loc.* group.   Re: i can afford a nice car in my lego house drive way!!

(...) Your Ferrari is actually in the scene, too, but it's hidden behind a house. I'll move them around frequently. Adding cars is the most fun part of the project. Much better than landscapping! -John Van (25 years ago, 9-Sep-99, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Datsville Update

(...) That's in the works, as well as the image maps. For you does the first picture download first, then subsequent? Or all at once? For me, anyway, I like the old pictures to be loading while I'm scrutinizing the newest one. (...) A known problem. (...) (25 years ago, 9-Sep-99, to lugnet.cad)

  Datsville/Datsville Raceway

John, since datsville is beginning to involve more work for you, when Datsville Raceway is done I would be willing to render the images for you. Since the raceway will be outside of town, it would have to have it's own rendering anyway. All, does (...) (25 years ago, 9-Sep-99, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Datsville - my house

Re: Greater Midwest Lego Users Group

(...) Hi, someone already posted they are working on a logo, but I have an idea for something I want to add. we should have a map of all the states that are in the org, made out of Lego. so that you can click on the state for info on that area...   Datsville Update

Truly impressive, John. One BIG suggestion. One thing that would keep load time down, would be to just do thumbnails of the older pictures, and have a page for old pictures. One thing that I don't like the looks of though, is that there is grass in (...) (25 years ago, 9-Sep-99, to lugnet.cad)

  Datsville Updated

I had to spend a lot of time better organizing the city, breaking it up into sector subfiles. Added more landscaping, 3 new buildings, and some vehicles. I'm still working to incorporate all the great files posted this weekend, but I wanted to give (...) (25 years ago, 9-Sep-99, to lugnet.cad)
