  The Bridge

Hi All, Some work in progress pics of our bridge are up. (URL) goes to David Tidman for the time and effort taken to build this monster. More pics of the complete bridge coming soon. Cheers, Braith PALS. (15 years ago, 26-Apr-09, to lugnet.loc.au.wa.per, lugnet.loc.au) !

Re: The Brick Testament - When God Attacks

(...) Sure it does. There are two solutions to this. One is to hold it upside down so the fat part is at the top already. The other is to hold it blade-up and put a short length of black flex-tube over the skinny part. Make sure the flex-tube is (...) (15 years ago, 25-Apr-09, to lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)

  Re: Undercarriage

(I thought I already answered but don't see the message appear...) (...) That's what I do too. But I keep a pure official library in a separate folder. I use this as LDraw library path for MPD wizard while my regular LDraw folder is the unofficial (...) (15 years ago, 27-Apr-09, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

  Re: Undercarriage

(...) That's what I do too. But I have in another folder an intact official library. When I run MPD Wizard, I use this reference lib as the LDraw library, and my regular LDraw folder as unofficial parts path. Philo (15 years ago, 27-Apr-09, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: Still no zip file for 2008-01?

(...) On further investigation, it is now clear why I did this. All three files are obsolete and not used by any official parts and as primitives/subparts should not be directly referenced in models. Because this update was a complete library (...) (15 years ago, 27-Apr-09, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.dev.mac, FTX)

  Re: Parts spreadsheet/tool?

(...) I plan on exporting a lot models to other formats, and need the parts to have correct winding. I basically just want to keep track of which parts have been BFC certified, and update and be ready to submit the ones that aren't when the need (...)   Re: Undercarriage

(...) Thanks! (...) I did try MPD Wizard but it didn't really work... perhaps because I've got the unofficial parts mixed with the official parts? I know it's bad to do it that way but if I put them into a separate directory (I can pretty easily (...) (15 years ago, 25-Apr-09, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: Still no zip file for 2008-01?

(...) Thanks for pointing this out. I don't understand how those files got to become zero-length, but these will be restored in the next parts update (which is under development at present). Chris Dee (LDraw Parts Library Admin) (15 years ago, 27-Apr-09, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.dev.mac, FTX)

  Re: BrickCon Registration Open!

(...) We thought about making a tiered registration fee structure, but decided on the single, lower amount as the only fee for registration. So, our only "incentive" for registering early is the guarantee that you'll receive your personalized name (...) (15 years ago, 25-Apr-09, to lugnet.events.nwbrickcon)

  Re: PF Speed controller test

(...) Nice to see it works as expected with the 'old' PF battery box. It woul be interesting to see the remote at the same time as the actions it provokes in the electric elemnts. Seeing just the electric elements leaves you a bit in the dark. Jetro (15 years ago, 25-Apr-09, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Undercarriage

Hi Santeri, (...) A very nice model! (...) I would put it in your Majhost gallery (because of the close relationship with Brickshelf I see no reason why it would not be allowed. eg. the TOS is the same...) Try to include all unofficial parts in the (...) (15 years ago, 25-Apr-09, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

  Undercarriage

For the past 6 months on and off I've been trying to create a Technic construction vehicle... with all tries miserably failing, until recently I managed to pull up a nice undercarriage system which, in my opinion, is kind of huge.   Re: ILTCO Layout at the National Train Show, Hartford, CT

(...) The idea actually came up when we first started talking about this show, so I don't think it's out of the question. Our thinking was that if there's a train in it, it's appropriate, especially if the focus is still on the trains. We actually (...) (15 years ago, 24-Apr-09, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: ILTCO Layout at the National Train Show, Hartford, CT

(...) snip Hi Elroy! I don't want to start a huge discussion, and i'm not sure if this is entirely appropriate, but Jeff vW adn I have been 'dabbling' in a Classic Space train layout for the last few years and we were wondering if there's any place (...)
