  motorization of 8466 sized model

I have been working at making a monster truck with 8466 wheels. Everything was going well until I was sorting out the propulsion. Has anyone had any sucess in motorising a large model that would travel at a reasonable speed? I think that there is a (...) (16 years ago, 27-Jul-08, to lugnet.technic)

how to store 8200 sets and 640,000 parts

I finally figured out how to list my pictures, wasn't too hard. Here are pictures of my Lego room. I had a few people email me and ask if I really had all these lego sets that I list on Lugnet, so here are the pictures of some of them. Also if (...) (16 years ago, 27-Jul-08, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Mona Lisa

(...) Jason, Using MS Paint, I made and saved about 140 drawings of circles of various colors atop squares of various colors. I omitted combinations where the pieces were rare (1 x 1 orange plates, 1 x 1 round green plates, etc. ) After I saved all (...) (16 years ago, 27-Jul-08, to lugnet.build.mosaic, FTX)

  Re: Minifig scale?

(...) Thanks for the vote of confidence. I do try to keep my inner pedant under control as much as possible ;) But in this specific case I think pedant is quite applicable. Tim (16 years ago, 27-Jul-08, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: Minifig scale?

(...) Wow, have not really seen the word "pedant" used in a long while--maybe since studying for the SATs back in Age of Aquarius so I had to look it up again. One who pays undue attention to book learning and formal rules. One who exhibits one's (...) (16 years ago, 27-Jul-08, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: Minifig scale?

(...) --snip-- (...) Hey Tommy, I agree for the most part and certainly don't keep to a single scale in my own dioramas (or even work completely to scale on many models). Selective compression, forced perspective and other techniques are very useful (...) (16 years ago, 27-Jul-08, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: Minifig scale?

(...) It would be nice to scale a barbie profile to the average female height and add her to the picture. Although I get mildly irked by the abuse of 'minifig scale' the main reason I did this was 'cause I thought it would look funny. (...) Perhaps (...) (16 years ago, 27-Jul-08, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: LPub 4 Web page

(...) Oh they're high on the list. And you just gave me a very big incentive! Meanwhile, I have been able to investigate LPub this weekend. I am very impressed.   Re: VW Beetle set (10187) now with power functions!

(...) Very nicely done, David! (...) Not exactly cheap, but: (URL) - Due to the placement of the battery, the rear seat back is no longer angled. (...) Yes it's always hard to retro-fit such functions to sets not designed for it, and the VW is (...) (16 years ago, 27-Jul-08, to lugnet.technic)

VW Beetle set (10187) now with power functions!

Hi, After building the new VW set last Sunday, I brought it to work and while everybody admired it, one person commented that it should be powered and should have functional steering... So back to the building desk I went and voila: (URL) <-- Movie (...) (16 years ago, 27-Jul-08, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Dalylight train, Southern Pacific Coast

(...) This is an absolutely stunning passenger train. The articulation of the cars looks awesome and the engraved bricks work beautifully. The GP9 looks a little out of place and I'm a big fan of steam so I'm eagerly awaiting to see the steam engine (...) (16 years ago, 27-Jul-08, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: Minifig scale?

  Use protection? (UV that is)

So in my lego room I have a big window (hey I'm not a vampire!). I wanted to see what people know about (and use) UV protection that can be applied to a window -- in a film like way. Something like tinting windows of a car but for the house. Anyone (...) (16 years ago, 26-Jul-08, to lugnet.storage, lugnet.general)

Re: Power Functions remote control Thumbstick - new challenge

(...) OK, here is an attempted solution to the "new challenge", i.e. translating joystick movement to tank controls. It works, but it's a little awkward to use (pushing the joystick sideways requires quite a lot of force). I'm sure Jason (or (...) (16 years ago, 26-Jul-08, to lugnet.technic, FTX)

Re: Asking for RIS 2.0 patch under Windows XP
