If you're interested, I have posted an LDraw file of such a robot that incorporates an adder-subtractor transmission into its chassis: (URL) need two differentials, but it works pretty well. The only complaint I have with it is that it's very slow (...) (25 years ago, 3-Sep-99, to lugnet.build)

Yes 1/2 rev/sec is about right, the micromotor is geared down a lot. That's why it's so noisy. It's good as a power source for animations, etc as you don't need a separate gear train. GMLTC transfer table uses two. You can stall it and at that point (...) (25 years ago, 3-Sep-99, to lugnet.build)
