  Re: Custom LEGO rolling stock...

(...) Thanks John. I do very much appreciate the grace extended here. I've also seen these kinds of mistakes handled badly. So, did they also make this guy you speak of cut down the tallest tree with a herring? Ha! Mark (17 years ago, 24-Jan-08, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

(...) No worries. I'm just glad I got you before the (URL) Evil Tims> did-- they can be sticklers about things like this. Once, I saw them turn a guy into a newt for cross-posting improperly! (he got better) JOHN (17 years ago, 24-Jan-08, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

(...) -snip- There is (URL) June 19-22, 2008 in Chicago. Which is way BEFORE Brickfair. I can't speak for the people who are in charge of Brickfest. I don't think there will be one in 2008. Can you wait until 2009? Thank you for listening. -Abner (17 years ago, 24-Jan-08, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

Re: Custom LEGO rolling stock available at my BrickLink store.

(...) Sorry. I come to LUGNET a lot, but it's been a LONG time since I posted here. I think that must have changed. Is there a way to move this, cancel this, or should I just leave it now that it's done? Thanks, Mark (17 years ago, 24-Jan-08, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: BrickfestAnywhere 2008?

Well I know perfectly well that you know about (URL), but I will gladly take this opportunity to plug the event anyways :) Just in case someone else hasn't heard. BrickFair: (URL) This August, 2008, Labor Day weekend Thank you for listening! (17 years ago, 24-Jan-08, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

(...) Hi, Mark! They look really good, but it is bad form to post advertisements outside of the (URL) market groups>, even though your item is train related. It is a violation of the TOS. Thanks! JOHN (17 years ago, 24-Jan-08, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: Has Lego begun producing "war toys"?

(...) What's the difference in modern weapons versus black powder rifles, pistols, and cannons (even some cannons had spring loaded firing mechanisms) anyway?   Re: Has Lego begun producing "war toys"?

In 1953 TLG came out with an early slotted brick 4 page idea brochure. On page 4 of that brochure it shows a LEGO fortified structure with non-LEGO army men. (Dave Shifflett's website): (URL) was the only occurrence that I'm aware of... of LEGO (...) (17 years ago, 24-Jan-08, to lugnet.general)

I'd like to see the minifig scale Lars homestead with Luke, Owen, Beru C-3PO, R2-D2 & 2 Jawas.
