  Re: Museo Zagarolo: elenco teche

(...) Ma le dimensioni sono in mm o cm? In mm sarebbero un po' piccole, in cm decisamente grandi! Ciao RoscoPC (17 years ago, 9-Oct-07, to lugnet.org.it.itlug)

  Re: Museo Zagarolo: elenco teche

(17 years ago, 9-Oct-07, to lugnet.org.it.itlug)

Re: What would YOU like to see from TECHNIC?

(...) I'll second this request for something other than vehicles. There are heaps of interesting machines out there that don't have wheels. Personally I've always wanted a working Lego Jacquard Loom. (...) Hear hear! Cheers Tim. (17 years ago, 9-Oct-07, to lugnet.technic, FTX)

Re: Opinions sought on rendering method

Well, as of 0135 PDT, lugnet.cad.ray is at the top of the 24-hour column of the LUGNET Traffic Report (with 18 posts, vs. 12 for the next group). That makes me feel good. :-) (This is the only thread in the group that has had any posts in the last (...) (17 years ago, 9-Oct-07, to lugnet.cad.ray, FTX)

Re: Opinions sought on rendering method

(...) OK, I played around with this tonight for a few hours, and finally came up with something that I think I'm happy with. It requires 3 passes of the transparent polygons (just during snapshot save with SaveAlpha enabled), but it seems to get (...) (17 years ago, 9-Oct-07, to lugnet.cad.ray, FTX)

  Re: The Future of Trains

(...) You are right, the main limitation probably comes from wall wart... You are essentially right for the 0.7A current (though it is not hard limit, rather a safety one). Philo (17 years ago, 9-Oct-07, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.robotics.nxt, lugnet.trains)

Re: Opinions sought on rendering method

(...) To me, the reasons are mainly "historical": the first way to get better images than the output of Ldraw/MLCad/LeoCAD (which is not that bad for instructions!) was POV-Ray. L3PAO then LPub did a lot to push POV as the renderer of choice. Add to (...) (17 years ago, 9-Oct-07, to lugnet.cad.ray, FTX)

Re: What would YOU like to see from TECHNIC?

Here are a few of my ideas: robotic arm (advanced version of set #8094) carnival rides (set #4957 is a good start) areal cable car (similar to the one in idea book #8889) remote controlled hovercraft (could be moving around on wheels) airplane with (...)   Re: Opinions sought on rendering method

(...) A very important point - I didn't even noticed that the vehicle roof was grey, not white! (...) That's the main problem of LDD generated instructions: no edges... Philo (17 years ago, 9-Oct-07, to lugnet.cad.ray, FTX)

Re: What would YOU like to see from TECHNIC?

(...) Hi Kelly, thanks for dropping in. I didn't vote becasue i would buy anything. I deliberate on aspects such as parts and colour availability but the end result is a purchase. Even if it contains blue axle pins. I think you should produce all (...) (17 years ago, 9-Oct-07, to lugnet.technic, FTX)

Re: ARM Assembly Language Programming on NXT?

(...) Thanks for the tip. I glanced at (URL) previously but I must've missed it thinking it's Java based. (...) Are you referring to the default NXT firmware or the LEJOS NXJ/OSEK firmware? (...) You're right, I've come across several ARM-based SBC (...) (17 years ago, 9-Oct-07, to lugnet.robotics.nxt.nxthacking)

Re: Opinions sought on rendering method

LDView renderings like your example look great. Would it make (...) (17 years ago, 9-Oct-07, to lugnet.cad.ray, FTX)
