Re: ARM Assembly Language Programming on NXT?

(...) Thanks for the tip. I glanced at (URL) previously but I must've missed it thinking it's Java based. (...) Are you referring to the default NXT firmware or the LEJOS NXJ/OSEK firmware? (...) You're right, I've come across several ARM-based SBC (...) (17 years ago, 9-Oct-07, to lugnet.robotics.nxt.nxthacking)

I really like how you built the (URL) St. Louis Arch> with all regular slopes. It's a pity that LEGO has never made a 65° inverted slope. David (17 years ago, 9-Oct-07, to lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: Opinions sought on rendering method

(...) I would choose LDView over POV-Ray and L3P in an instant if the -SaveAlpha option worked on my Mac. Otherwise, I think your conclusions about the appearance settings are correct. LDView renderings like your example look great. Would it make (...) (17 years ago, 9-Oct-07, to lugnet.cad.ray, FTX)

  Re: Power Functions presentation

(...) Hi Philo, Thanks for updating your site. It is a great resource! I was wondering if you have any data on the IR receivers that come with the power functions in terms of current handling capacity (for example, is it OK to wire multiple XL (...) (17 years ago, 8-Oct-07, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: The Future of Trains

(...) The Australian LEGO wall wart is marked 10V @ 7VA on the secondary. I don't recall all the stuff I learnt about the relationship between VA and W, but that seems to me to indicate about 0.7A. I believe this generally reduces as load increases, (...) (17 years ago, 8-Oct-07, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.robotics.nxt, lugnet.trains)

  Re: The Future of Trains

(...) I did some research on this several years ago. At the time it was to pursue the idea of wider radii curves. But now it's of even more interest with the 9v track going away. I drew up several different ideas, and even contacted someone in a (...) (17 years ago, 8-Oct-07, to lugnet.lego, FTX)

(...) According to what I have been reading so far, people need many realistic functions on their models. I am of the same view. Many have also expressed a wish of a cross-theme type of model (i.e. space shuttle). the space shuttle was great because (...) (17 years ago, 8-Oct-07, to lugnet.technic, FTX)

Fradel, Thanks for the kind words. My Whale doesn't have a depth charge rack, basically because I couldn't fit one in without it looking out of place.
