  Re: Cleanliness of the pieces

(...) I got the box from Ben today. I just saw a bunch'o green mold on one of the bigger yellow cogs. I just happen to be allergic to most forms of mold and fungus. (And Barbara absolutely loves mushrooms! X-P ) (...) Which is a wicked cool idea! (...) (27 years ago, 31-Aug-99, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

  Re: Cleanliness of the pieces

I must be a little confused here. Are there 2 Technic boxes floating around? Did I miss something? I will admit that I am not too savvy reading Todd's web based news, and the original 'technic box' thread disappeared from my newsreader weeks ago. (...)   Re: Lego man

(...) mind (...) from (...) my (...) sliced >bread! Hey, I've even brought models to school. First time was in sixth grade for a Tech. Ed. (basic computer-as in turn on, use mouse, & type) class. I built a simple grabbing hand. For the next two (...) (27 years ago, 31-Aug-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Lego man

(...) That reminds me--I got my first 8880 a week ago, replaced the V8 with a more realistic looking V12, added scissor doors, and covered all surfaces with bricks and/or plates. It's a lot heavier, and sags a bit on the suspension. If you try to (...) (27 years ago, 31-Aug-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: House with porch

(...) I feel the same way, but I think the reason there aren't many LDrawn buildings is that LEdit isn't particularly well suited for large constructions. Zooming out eliminates details, and there's the 1000 part limit... --Bram Bram Lambrecht / o o (...) (27 years ago, 31-Aug-99, to lugnet.cad.dat.models)

Re: Where are all the boxes?

(...) Oh, I know. It was just frustrating to not be seeing *any* progress reports. As I expected, it seems to be a combination of failure to report progress when the boxes were moving as well as failure of boxes to move due to real-world (...) (27 years ago, 31-Aug-99, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

Re: Where are all the boxes?

I hadn't heard the term before but yes, the boxes in question are exactly what you've described as a "Lego bee". To answer your questions: There is no set number of people involved. The sign-up lists just keep getting longer (faster than names are (...) (27 years ago, 31-Aug-99, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

  Re: Cleanliness of the pieces

(...) How will this affect the motors? How about the pneumatic pump, piston, and tank? These look fairly clean; I'll probably just leave them alone anyway... (...) Thanks, but I needed something to do while watching the Simpsons. :-, Cheers, - (...) (27 years ago, 31-Aug-99, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

  Re: Poor man's Tachometer

(...) Would sandwiching a rubber band in place of the 1/2 height rings give you enough spacing? A single white band could probably be wrapped around both of the cross-axles, and it would keep the Lego-purists happy. I like your design--it's the most (...)   Re: Cleanliness of the pieces

I've found a nice cleaner that removes just about anything, including smoke smell - Lysol Kitchen Cleaner. It leaves a nice citrusy smell too ;-) If this is the Technic box, and you don't have time to clean them, I'll soak them for a day or 2 in it, (...)
