Re: On the Subject of Treads

Hi John - - I've been using a tracked LEGO 'bot since November as a sensor test-bed without any difficulty (and with out rebuilding the track system) on an almost daily basis. See the Mindstorms Constructopedia pg. 39 for a basic idea. The axles DO (...) (25 years ago, 30-Aug-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: An evening with Larry Pieniazek.

(...) I'm no where near as absurdly difficult in real person, as I appear in print (heh-heh). No actually I'm not much different in person than how I appear in print. At least that's how I think I am? I dunno, ask Lar or Scott Sandburn or Mark (...) (25 years ago, 30-Aug-99, to lugnet.general)

Wanna play with the original yellow castle for a while? "Computer: Load LEGO (...) (25 years ago, 30-Aug-99, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.general)

Re: On the Subject of Treads

(...) I have never tried this, but maybe you could build a frame around the tank tread so that the tread doesn't work itself off the wheel. You could run two technic beams along the side of the tread so that it doesn't shift from side to side. It's (...) (25 years ago, 30-Aug-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: CATALOGS AUCTION

Hi Rene I'm possibly interested in a lot of those lots - it's really great to see someone selling some catalogues - however you've missed off some information. What country are you based in - in other words what country are we paying shipping from, (...) (25 years ago, 30-Aug-99, to lugnet.market.auction)

  On the Subject of Treads

I note with interest, the discussion relating to using treads for building a climber. I have a preliminary question before going further with a technically challenging problem like this. Has any one used treads to make a simple crawler that really (...) (25 years ago, 30-Aug-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Holobrick vs Real McCoy (was Re: star destroyer?

(...) Wow. What a concept! I can see Riker and Data walking around Billund, Riker beaming over his Town Jr. set, and Data carring his minifig-scale Great Wall of China with one arm... How is playing with Lego on the holodeck less real than playing (...) (25 years ago, 30-Aug-99, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.general)
