  Legp club NZ

CreatioNZ lego users club had it's first meeting!!!! it was great with more people to come for next time. Unfortunately I forgot to take any photos. :( Is there anything I need to know about making it a Lug group or where I can advertise a bit more. (...) (17 years ago, 14-Jul-07, to lugnet.loc.au)

Workarounds for two crash bugs in Mac LDView 3.2 Beta 1

So far, two bugs have been found in the Mac LDView 3.2 Beta 1 release that cause it to crash, and then subsequently crash every time it is launched. I'm posting a workaround for each of these problems here in the hopes that it will reduce people's (...) (17 years ago, 14-Jul-07, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac, FTX)

Re: 10178 Power Functions Walking AT-AT

(...) I found some more pics (URL) that are apparently from the Star Wars Celebration Europe. This set looks really nice, definitely gonna pick this one up come Christmas. (17 years ago, 14-Jul-07, to lugnet.starwars, FTX)

Re: Is it possible to run lego trains outdoors?

(...) With 9v track, no way. 9v track does indeed rust if exposed to water over time. If you go with RC track I don't see why you couldn't run it outside but keep in mind that dirt acts as an abrasive so keep the track off the ground or take steps (...) (17 years ago, 14-Jul-07, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Thinking Outside The Box

(...) Build it in yellow, turn it on it's side, and you have Pac Man. You could even hide a ghost inside! -Doug (17 years ago, 14-Jul-07, to lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: Building equality one female minifig at a time.

I have to laugh because this was my hobby-horse 10 years ago. There has been some progress, but things are still pretty bad. I notice that Lego Designer/Pick-A-Brick includes one female head, 3 male heads, and 2 neutral heads. It also includes 2 (...) (17 years ago, 14-Jul-07, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: Is it possible to run lego trains outdoors?

(...) Absolutely. It's called "building an addition on your house". Seriously, though, it is entirely possible to run LEGO trains outside (our club has been involved in three separate outdoor displays that I know of, two of which I've participated (...) (17 years ago, 14-Jul-07, to lugnet.trains)

Re: The Mercurials - Lego Comic

Thanks for the positive feedback. We'd hoped other folks would enjoy our strange experiment! Nicole and I really like the avatar idea, too. I'm going to play around with that and see if we can pull it together. I think that combined with some of the (...) (17 years ago, 14-Jul-07, to lugnet.build, FTX)

Is it possible to run lego trains outdoors?

After moving 4 times in 4 years, I find myself with a house. Unfortunately, there is not enough room in the house or garage for a lego train setup. But I do have a large, fenced in back yard with lots of trees. So then, is it possible to weatherize (...) (17 years ago, 14-Jul-07, to lugnet.trains)
