  Ultra Sonic Sensor Readings

I've read the previous postings on the ultrasonic (aka "echo locator" among my students). I'm experimenting to see what the cone of energy looks like. Does anyone have experimental data I can compare to? I also need advice of detecting the scatter. (...) (19 years ago, 2-May-07, to lugnet.robotics)

  peeron update

Just to update on Peeron and to answer some emails I have received, Peeron has been adding set pictures at breakneck speed. Somewhere around 70 that I have submitted in the last 3 or 4 days. They are also making inventory corrections at about 20 or (...) (19 years ago, 2-May-07, to lugnet.inv)

<<https://registrati...Logo.png>> This message is posted on behalf of Steve DeCraemer: First and foremost, Dirty Brickster and Dirty Buildster are two different events. Please don't confuse the two.   Re: Inline POV code in official parts?

(...) Well, maybe others don't care about visible polys when it should be smooth, but it makes all the difference in the world to me. (...) Well, yeah. But that is better than everyone inventing their own POV- Ray code to make their own parts. How (...) (19 years ago, 2-May-07, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Inline POV code in official parts?

(...) The LDraw POV project ((URL) was created with the intention of someday becoming the de-facto, if not the actual, official LDraw compatible POV repository. I'll admit that it has languished for sometime (it's been almost 4 years sine I (...) (19 years ago, 2-May-07, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Inline POV code in official parts?

(...) It doesn't really gain you much if you are just converting the LDraw parts directly - l3p does that just fine, and fairly fast. The only advantage of a POV-ray library is when you start adding POV-ray specific stuff, eg: replace the curve (...) (19 years ago, 1-May-07, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Articles on ldraw.org out of date - I can help

(...) I'd see it as a side-wiki probably. Move as much content as people are willing to open source across but keep the best articles fixed on ldraw.org. Would mean anyone could edit tutorials etc. but we'd have fixed versions. Tim (not speaking as (...) (19 years ago, 1-May-07, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Re: Articles on ldraw.org out of date - I can help

(...) Hmm - an ldraw wiki? That's a good idea, and it's not hard. For example you could sign up for a wiki on pbwiki.com (ldraw.pbwiki.com is available) and we can transfer the existing content there and move the links on the existing site to point (...)
