  Control Lab - serial/USB

The Lego Control Lab (peeron #9751) connects to a PC through a serial cable. Since most laptops don't have a serial port I was wondering if anyone knew how I might connect a Control Lab to a laptop. Would a USB converter work (will RoboLab recognise (...) (19 years ago, 28-Apr-07, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: LDD PRR T1 #6110

(...) Very nice work. I had not seen that. Thanks for linking the pics. It definitely helps show the details of the PRR T1, and gives me more ideas for improvements to my Lego® version once I go to build it. (19 years ago, 28-Apr-07, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: Increasing a collection

(...) First off: Welcome! As to the collection issue, building has always been my driving force.I look for the pieces I use most often (castle needs based). The only advice I can offer is if you're starting from a medium collection (=20k) make sure (...) (19 years ago, 28-Apr-07, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Galactica Rag Tag Fleet: 3 new transport ships!

Hello Phillip, thanks for your comment! I will publish more SW models soon, but I thought it would be good to be present in some other SciFi themes I like as well. So I concentrated in bringing up my new site (URL) and quickly get some more content (...) (19 years ago, 28-Apr-07, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Hello Dave, thank you for the feedback which is highly appreciated. So, those 3x3 discs come from the SantaFe trainset? I already wondered where they were from. Thanks, – Christopher (19 years ago, 28-Apr-07, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Difficulty with WRITE COMMAND over BT

(...) Thank you very much for the reply. It is still consistently puzzling. If I write some other file - for example a text file named file.txt, I can write and close, and see it in the list (through findfirst/findnext) successfully. This works both (...)   Re: If you could wish for any single Lego element, what would it be?

(...) snip I have thought of this off-and-on over the time since I've read this: Make all the arches as half-arches, like the 1x5x4 arch. That would eliminate the stress point problem. Larger arches, too, like 12-stud+ spans. Also in round (...) (19 years ago, 28-Apr-07, to lugnet.parts, FTX)

  Re: Classroom experiments gone awry

(...) I'm using terms of my own making. These are terms that seem to work with 10 - 12 year olds. By "dominant" I mean the wheel which measures the duration specified in a turn. Sometimes I use the term "outside wheel". For example, a duration of (...) (19 years ago, 28-Apr-07, to lugnet.robotics.nxt)

  LDD 2.0 - Inventory of a MOC

Hi, Once I create a moc in LDD 2.0 (or open elseone's moc) how do I get the list of the parts? Also, can I "Try to Build it" on peeron? (I understand that if the LDD->LDraw conversion was working fine I could "kill these two rabbits at once".) (...) (19 years ago, 27-Apr-07, to lugnet.cad.ldd)
