  Re: RACHAL Changeover

(...) You have my pity ;) (...) I think it leaves them alone. Certainly I've never had any troubles with it converting one way or the other before. If you edit a Windows text file on a UNIX emacs it will show the extra ^R (or whichever is unused on (...) (19 years ago, 3-Apr-07, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

--snip-- Nice reverse engineering. (...) I know this one :) Well some of it anyway... tx, ty and tz are the translation from the origin, ax, ay, az define a unit vector and angle defines a rotation angle (in radians IIRC). (tx,ty,tz) and angle (...) (19 years ago, 3-Apr-07, to lugnet.cad.ldd)

  Re: peeron inventory

(...) I realize that. The parts that were not in the motor set were parts that were extra in the 8851. What Lego did was include the parts to put the motor in except for the parts that were in the motor set itself. If you build the model without the (...) (19 years ago, 3-Apr-07, to lugnet.inv)

  Re: RACHAL Changeover

(...) Being a vi user, I'm drawn to the natural conclusion that emacs must be the culprit ;-). (On a more serious note, I actually don't know what emacs does with line endings. I know that vi leaves them alone unless you specifically tell it to (...) (19 years ago, 3-Apr-07, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

(...) Because automatic building instructions are less then optimal, I have started uploading subassemblies of models to my gallery. Hopefully, if someone buys one of my models, they'll check my gallery for the subassemblies. In the descriptions for (...) (19 years ago, 3-Apr-07, to lugnet.cad.ldd)

  Re: peeron inventory

(...) You can't count that. You have to figure based on what's in the set, not what Lego suggests you add to the set. There are many Technic sets that have instructions for models made with parts from two or more sets. Tim (19 years ago, 3-Apr-07, to lugnet.inv)

  Re: RACHAL Changeover

(...) Well from your two reports it sounds very much like the files are uploading and downloading correctly. I guess we write the RACHAL one off as a strange quirk and I'll use NoteTab to ensure all future ones are DOS formatted before upload and (...) (19 years ago, 3-Apr-07, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

(...) Same results here. L3LAB: In addition to this info, I wish to add that with DOS, UNIX, and Willy the bricks showed up fine in L3Lab, but from the Mac file, L3Lab just showed an empty window.   peeron inventory

8851: This was a hard one in that adding the motor 8700 was in the instructions. Extra parts are needed, some in the motor and some in the 8851 set. What I came up with (my set was purchased by me and opened by me) was: 3707 black technic axle 8 (...) (19 years ago, 3-Apr-07, to lugnet.inv)

  Re: RACHAL Changeover

(...) The upload is via an html form so I'm pretty sure it's not ftp (unless there's a way for this to be automated from a form?). Willy made the original file in MLCad by the looks of it, I then edited in MLCad and emacs for WinXP, Willy then (...) (19 years ago, 3-Apr-07, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

  Re: RACHAL Changeover

(...) Maybe it's a downloading problem. On windows .mpd files are associated with microsoft project by default. Perhaps because of this, some sort of translation occurred on downloading the file? Or more likely it's an uploading problem. If you used (...) (19 years ago, 3-Apr-07, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)
