Re: The standard NXT firmware & the case of the missing opcodes

(...) Having used shifts in Z80 assembly before, I can see the uses of the different types. However, I can't see how I'd want anything other than arithmetical in the NBC opcodes. The only times I used logical, rotating, or with-carry-bit shifts was (...) (18 years ago, 21-Mar-07, to lugnet.robotics.nxt.nxthacking)

Re: BrickFest™ PDX 2007 - Robotic Easter Egg Hunt

(...) Will, If you do manage to combine RCX & NXT, I expect it will look mashed-up, but unlike all the other stuff at BF, this is not a how-does-it-look competition. No matter how it looks, I'm sure people will cheer for robots that try to give them (...) (18 years ago, 21-Mar-07, to lugnet.events.brickfest, lugnet.robotics)

Re: BrickFest™ PDX 2007 - Robotic Easter Egg Hunt

(...) I'll give it a whirl! I wouldn't want you to get the NXT prize just because you were the only one entered. :) My 'bot may be a mashup of RCX & NXT. It will likely be horrible ugly, and exhibit questional operational effectiveness, but fame and (...) (18 years ago, 21-Mar-07, to lugnet.events.brickfest, lugnet.robotics, FTX)

Here I'm again after a couple of months to tell you that I've finished the 2ª module of Heavy Water. In this module I've tried to make the passage to a more living and working area. (...) The one I always liked the best (can't find it right now... ah, here it is I think) was Gronk: (URL) not built it yet because I don't use LDCC or have an RCX on-board a train, but the idea is nice. And with those IR-controled Power Function (...) (18 years ago, 21-Mar-07, to lugnet.trains)

  Automated shunter/switcher

So, I got this idea of making an automated shunter for our group's exhibition layout, it would be a nice eye catcher and a great oportunity for the big trains' motors to rest and cool off.
