(...) The actual source of bounce is NOT the arc just before contact. It actually is the bouncing of the contact due to the action of the spring in the contact! It is my understanding that the 8-in-1 version from X-10 should be able to work with Mindstorms, as it is a learning remote (although you probably have to use the regular remote to program it). The more common 6-in-1 isn't capable of learning, and (...) (27 years ago, 25-Aug-99, to lugnet.robotics)
